    Hey Columbus bees!

DH and I just got job offers in Columbus (well near Columbus) and we are in need of a place to live. We'd prefer to be in the south, southeast, Groveport/Canal Winchester area. We would really like to rent a house with a fenced yard for our dog but it's hard to utilize online resources to find anything, if anyone knows anyone or anyplace for rent please let me know!

Have you look at the local craigslist?  Also, local property managers could help you.

Definetly look at craigslist. I know a work friend of mine found a beautiful home with fenced in yard and I actually thought they bought it until she corrected me by saying they were renting! I'll keep an ear out as I grew up in that area, kinda-Lancaster and there are always tons of houses to rent there.

We've been keeping our eye on craigslist but nothing has really come through. We've found a few things but when we've e-mailed them the property is already rented.

Thanks for the suggestions and @MissGreen thank you for keeping an eye out!

Can I ask why you're looking to live south/southeast? Have you spent much (or any) time in Columbus?

I only ask because in terms of location... that'd probably be last on my list. It isn't very close to the "fun" parts of Columbus and it tends to be a bit more rural... although it IS cheaper so that is a plus.

If you have any questions about locations and such please feel free to PM me! I have lived here for about 8 years and have lived in quite a few different areas :)

@CorgiTales: Actually Canal is about 15 mins from CBUS. :) Closer to downtown than most. Lived here all my life and had to commute there from Capital for about 2 yrs. 33 sucks, but you do it!
