My good friend and her now husband bought their first house 2 years ago. It’s about 2 hours away, and they have pretty much renovated the entire thing. She didn’t want anyone to see it until it was done, and we finally get to go visit!
I’m excited but at a loss of what to get them for a gift. I thought about a Home Depot gift card, but I’m not sold. I would love to get something personalized with their new last name (they eloped last year), but again I’m at a loss.

Do they drink? If I were in your friend’s shoes – I’d appreciate a nice bottle of wine.
ETA: What about a couple’s massage?! I know after every home rennovation project – all I want to do is RELAX! While the Home Depot card is a good call – my guess is they know every home rennovation store in their area by heart and have probably bought everything they need for the short-term from those stores….

@Bostongrl25: We got a wooden sign made for friends of ours that said their last name and established the year they got married. That would be a cute thing to get them! Otherwise, a Home Depot or Lowe’s gift card is always appreciated, or even a gift card to a home decorating store like Crate & Barrel or Pier One.

@oracle: Ooo that’s a good idea!
@2PeasinaPod: I like the sign idea! Did you buy it online?
