My ringbearer’s mom hosted mine at the Grotto.  We had a room–it was more of a luncheon than a true “shower.”

I’m hosting my sister’s bridal luncheon at the Daily Review Cafe.

I’ve heard Tiny Boxwoods is nice.  Or Ouisie’s Table.

I’d love to have an event at Mariposa @ Neimans.  The food is wonderful.

Maybe something in the Kemah area?

@farawaymoh:

I don’t know if this would be “elegant” enough for a bridal shower, but I held a baby shower in Austin last year in the “private room” of a Le Madeleine restaurant and they let me use the room for FREE, as long as I purchased some food from them! There are Le Madeleine’s all over Houston, too, I think…..

The room we used was very small, however, but we had about 20 people and did a full buffet  luncheon of a sandwich platter, cesar salad w/optional grilled chicken, baguette bread, tomato soup cups, chips, and mango ice tea all from Le Madeleine and they let us bring in our own fruit salad and cake/punch. We decorated w/votive candles and pink and silver decor w/rubber duckies and it was very intimate, private, and lovely. Everyone loved the food and Le Madeleine was GREAT to work with…..so easy going and they refused a gratuity at the end when I attempted to add it to the final bill when paying! They set up everything and cleaned up…..it was so easy and nice.

And best of all, I ended up paying less than $200 for all the food! It was waaaay more than enough food and such a good value. I would strongly recommend you check them out. Good luck and best wishes!

PS. I will attach a photo of the basic set-up we had there so you can get an idea of what they did. I really questioned if it was the best choice of venue before the shower, but needed to use it b/c of cost and it turned out so great! I am so glad I went with Le Madeleine!

Tommy’s in Clear Lake is nice and has a private room not outrageous and would probably do a nice job.  281) 480-2221

Perry’s had 2 restaurants in Clear Lake Perry’s Italian and Perry’s Steakhouse.  not sure of number but you can google and it comes up.

Cullen’s is wonderful and offers an awesome room overlooking thier dinning room and other options.  I would give them a call as they have slow times and might be willing to work with you.  They have great food.

All of these are in the Clear Lake Area which is halway between Houston and Galveston on 45.

If you want to do something in Galveston, try The Galvez and the San Luis both are a little expensive but definetly have a wow factor.

Good Luck

@mom2littledude: I agree about Tommy’s – LOVE THE FOOD!! I took my FH to lunch there (my folks eat there quite a bit) and he thought it would be a great place for a luncheon or even a rehearsal dinner.

Oh and Perry’s  – both places have awesome food. I’ve not eaten at Cullen’s but FH and I went there to do a look-around for the reception. NICE.
