There's a cute little tea house in Sugar Land called Serenitea. They are closed on Sundays and you can rent it out for the whole afternoon. They serve lots of wonderful teas and have great light food.
For just a small banquet menu, I'd try maggianos, Masaraff's, Canyon Cafe, cafe annie, granduca hotel. They all have private rooms if you want to stay in the galleria area.
Here is a list of tea places

Te Tea House
Sugar Baby's is a great place for a shower as long as your group isn't too big! It is beautifully decorated in black and white damask and pink and just perfect for a shower! They have cupcakes, teas, coffee, etc and a private area for events. I threw a shower at Ousie's last year and I loved their private room, it is really cute! We had fruit, cheese, salad, tea sandwiches, and dessert, so it was great for a light meal!

Hello Bees!
I hope you can helpme out here. I am helping to plan a bridal shower for a friend of mine in Houston, but since I am not from the area I need some suggestions on where to look. We were thinking doing a afternoon tea possibly at the St. Regis. Are there any other hotels that offer afternoon teas or small banquet menus for a shower?
thanks again!
