If no one calls you back and they haven't sent the contract, I'm thinking you should book elsewhere. You shouldn't have to stalk vendors. If its this bad now, its only going to get worse.
I know that is what I try telling myself but when I go look at other venues my heart says It isnt the Tuscany Villa. That place is gorgeous. On their review site everyone has great things to say about them. ugg i am so torn. i wish i knew of another place that could beat the Villa and stay within the same price range.
I had problems with them as well. I scheduled a visit and when I arrived they said I didn't have an appt and told me to look around myself. I spoke with two girls who had their receptions there and both said it was a nightmare. I say look elsewhere.
I know its not related to venue, but I had a similar experience with my invitations where communication was sub par, but I convinced myself to go through with it anyways. I wasn't 100% happy with the results, and that was just paper...
I'd have to agree with the others - IMO you should never have to stalk a company or beg somebody to take your hard earned cash. Have you looked at Agave Road in Katy? I haven't seen it in person, but it looks beautiful online.
Thanks ladies! we decided to go with a different venue and cheaper with the same stuff included. Its called Shirley Arces. We arent going to give a deposit or anything just yet we are going to wait a couple of month and check out other places hopefully our hearts lead us back to Shirley Arces!
I am getting married at Briscoe Manor in Richmond. I would highly recommend them also. The venue is beautiful and they have been awesome to work with so far! It is on the pricey end though. We also looked at Agave Road. I would recommend them also. I have been to a few weddings there and every one of them have been gorgeous! Good luck!
We ended up booking at The Plaza in Downtown Houston. I really wanted to book at the Tuscany but too expensive too far and too difficult to work with.
We have worked at both Shirley Acres and Tuscany Villa and I prefer Shirley Acres. They seemed much easier to work with, both for the bride and us (not that we had any real problems with Tuscany, it's just that Shirley Acres was SO EASY).
They definitely have a different feel-Shirley Acres is much more rustic and woodsy, while Tuscany is basically just a big fancy house that reminds me of most new construction in Houston.
For anyone else in the future trying to get ahold of Tuscany, I'd stay just stop by in the middle of the day on a Saturday. We arrived there about 1:00 and the coordinator was everywhere, talking to couples who were visiting especially.
@Mrs.MedinaJr: i'm in katy and im having my wedding out in fulsher we had 2 places that would never call us back so we moved on to the next one....hope u found a place!
@Jessica Snaptacular Photos: Thank you! I actually loved shirley arces but my FI is kinda a groomzilla and didnt like it in case it rained that day didnt want to have the ceremony inside. Which was a bummer because the people there were wonderful and the place is gorgous! I do need a photographer so I am going to look you up.
@FutureHarp: Oh boo! Why don't these places call back people! We are like begging to give them money and business! We did already book a place called The Plaza (they have recently changed their name to Bella =/). Its downtown so close to everyone which was my parents biggest thing because of our grandparents.

Hello I live in houston and i wanted to book the Tuscany Villa in katy, tx.
Any ladies that had or having their reception there?? i need advice. i love the place but no one ever calls me back and finally when they did and said they were going to send me a contract NEVER DID.
HELP!?!? all is appreciated!!
