What cuisine are you interested in?  Do you want something close to your venue?  If so, what is your venue? Maybe something relatively close to your rehearsal or the hotel(s) you are suggesting for your guests' use?  Are you talking Houston proper or more in the outskirts area?

We chose a restaurant that we go to every week since it holds special meaning to us: Escalantes at Town & Country.  If my venue had been closer to it I would have selected Backstreet Cafe.  I also like Ousies and Carmelos. 

I love Ousie's too!  It's on San Felipe near the Galleria.  I threw a shower there and it was wonderful!  They have private areas for big groups too.
