Hello fellow Bees!
I am having a bit of a delima with planning our reherasal dinner. We are getting married next February 15th! While that’s all good an exciting that means that our rehearsal dinner falls on Valentine’s Day. EEK.
Which makes booking somehwere difficult without paying a deposit of our first born. We planned on booking with St. Arnold’s Brewery but they already have an event booked that day.
If anyone has a suggestions we would greatly appreciate them!

It is Not vital to have a rehearsal on the day before your wedding. I’m having mine this wednesday, actually, and my wedding is this friday.
There are several reasons why you dont want to do a rehersal dinner on valentines day. the main ones include:
1. You are taking a potential special holiday away from the people who are trying to support you. most of them would probably like to make plans of their own– not come to your rehearsal dinner.
2. there’s no way in hell you’re going to be able to get dinner reservations for a big group– and if you do– it’s not going to be cheap.
If you insist it has to be the night before, do it at your home/someone’s home and have it catered.

Hmm, I have no idea if they have Valentine’s Day restrictions, but we had ours at Steamboat Steakhouse and it was so nice! They have all sorts of Texas artificacts/antiques/etc. (it’s kind of like a mini Texas museum), so it was a fun place for the out-of-town guests. They have a nice big room for events!

Just watned to update on this post for anyone having a similar problem in the future. We ended up doing it at Goode’s BBQ because let’s face it BBQ is not a food most crave on their special V-day out. Surprisingly our wedding party was super pumped about not having to do the traditional “Let’s go fight all of Houston and eat at a nice restaruant on one day” Valentine’s Day plans. I am also making the whole theme of the rehearsal dinner V-day and giving out roses to every women in attendance. Since our wedding is an evening and black tie sort of event, people said the relaxed, good ol fashioned, BBQ dinner was a nice balance. 🙂
