@futuremrsgo:  Do you have to give them gifts?  I guess I’m just confused.  When my BMs threw me a bridal shower, I didn’t give them gifts.  I thought the point of a shower was for them to shower the bride with gifts!  …Maybe I’m just missing something, but I just wrote sweet thank you notes to everyone who attended, gave me a gift, and/or hosted the party.  I think that’s all that was required/expected.

@Christy42213:  I hope you are right, I can’t keep track of who needs gifts or cards.

I think the gift is cute. Do you have a good idea of what kinds of scents each person likes though? If not, definitely leave the label on (but you can remove the price) so they can exchange it easily if they want a different scent.

I haven’t been introduced to the idea of giving hostess gifts for showers.  But gifts are pretty much appreciated anytime.  So, I don’t think it’s a big deal if you do it or don’t do it.  Since you said budget is a concern, I think heartfelt, handwritten thank you notes are perfectly acceptable and appropriate.  Either way, you can’t go wrong.
