My sister wants to name her daughter Pepper of she ever has one. The problem is that if she married her current SO (which she probably will), the kid’s name will be Pepper Miller.

Pepper is my favorite vegetable. I wouldn’t name my daughter Pepper.

I don’t know if I see it for an adult.  What about … Yes, Mrs. Smith this is Police Officer Pepper Johnson calling to let you know your son was pulled over for DUI.   Or this is your fiancial planner Pepper calling to go over your investments…….. or your taxes.

I’m probably biased having gone to school with a Buffy, Bitsy, Cricket and a Dandi Lion (first name Dandi last name Lion)

I’m not crazy about it. But I do like “Pippa” and don’t mind “Piper.” That’s JMO though.

My dog growing up was named Pepper so I would never use that name on a child.

I used to have a white cat named Salt so I’d never use that name either. Wink

One of my favourite horses at the ranch where I rode growing up was called Pepper, so to me Pepper is the name of a male horse rather than a female human.  However, if I met a female human named Pepper then I’m sure I’d quickly get used to it, and before long it wouldn’t seem strange at all.

It’s a pet’s name, or a nickname, or a comiv book character’s name (Pepper Potts, Ironman).  Wouldn’t do it as an actual, given name.

The gal I sit next to at work has a cat named Pepper (Salt and Pepper, harhar), so that’s a no-go for me lol.

I would only ever think of Pepper Potts, and my FI is obsessed with Iron Man, so that wouldn’t work. In general I’m not crazy about that name for a human anyway. Maybe a sassy poodle or a snapping turtle…

@peachacid:  My SOs dogs name was Pepper. So… I wouldn’t do it personally.
