I just found this ring on an online vintage ring site. How gorgeous is it!? It's an art deco design!

Can you say dream ring!! Does anyone have an art deco ring, or something similar? POST PICTURES PLEASE! :)
I'm a waiting bee, and I'm pretty sure my SO has made a payment on an antique art deco ring that I am in LOVE with. I can't wait until I can show it off!
Oh I LOVE art deco jewelry! I have a less intricate art deco e-ring from the 1920s that I simply adore:
@love108: Ah that is so exciting! I can't wait to see pictures! Did you guys discuss types that you liked or is this a surprise?
@aaalexx: Originally I was going to give him a list of a couple I liked...but I fell in love with this one on etsy (I tried on a lot of rings in stores, while I wish I could have tried this one on, it was the only one that called to me!) and it was about half the price of the others... so it seemed like a clear winner haha! Ms. Good Earth I LOVE yours!! Where did you find it?
@love108: Oooh once you get it you'll have to post pictures! I found it at Brilliant Earth! They sell ethically sourced stones and recycled metals, as well as antiques. I went to their show room in San Francisco and fell in love... and immediately called my FI (then BF) to tell him I found the one. He bought it the next day and proposed a week later :)
@aaalexx: Thanks! I still stare at it all the time even though I've had it for 3 months now :)
@Ms.GoodEarth: It looked familiar! Now I know why!!! I stalked their antique section! Unfortunately I wouldn't have been able to try them on (East coast!). There were a couple I really liked, but just a bit over budget. I found a ring that a woman was selling on etsy (she had bought it on etsy, but decided once she got married she really prefered her wedding band by itself) that I absolutely loved and the price was right. Hopefully I love it as much as I'm drooling over it online when I finally get my proposal!
@love108: Do you mind posting a picture/link of the ring on etsy?
I'm glad other people share my love for art deco!
@maudemaisha: Not at the moment, I am still a bee-in-waiting! But that has never stopped me from adoring tons of ring porn hahaha. Maybe in the future I'll be able to call this baby mine!
I'm hoping to receive a vintage ring from my boyfriend sometime this spring! I have no idea which one he has picked out, but I have dozens bookmarked from all across the web. I definitely want a ring from the 1920's as the deco look really appeals to me. Plus I love the idea of giving the diamond a second chance at love.
I would give ANYTHING for an art deco ring. Had I known anything about rings/jewelry before we got engaged, I'd have waited until we could afford one. *sigh* Maybe for an anniversary.
That ring is beautiful!
I am obsessed with art deco rings, too. Here's my ring, from the 1920s. From the side, it reminds me a lot of the Chrysler Building, which I love:
:

All the rings here are beautiful! I love Edwardian and Art Deco jewelry. My now fiance proposed yesterday with the ring of my dreams! It's like it was made for me, just 100 years ago... Mine is Edwardian (from 1900 or thereabout), with lots of platinum open work. Center stone is a half carat diamond, and there are six teeny diamonds accenting the open work. I'm in love! Both with my fiance and my ring!

Wow, loads of stunning rings, you're making me go green with envy here! :-)
@mschad: Oh My Goodness! I ADORE your ring! Do you know where he got it from? I am in love with the idea of getting an older engagement ring but don't really know where to look.
You all have gorgeous rings, congrats ladys!
@aaalexx: I found a TON I loved (but of course were a little too expensive) at langsantiques, new york estate jewelry, and the antique section of brilliant earth. I also went to a local jeweler that sold estate jewelry.

@aaalexx: We found it at Lang Antiques (www.langantiques.com) - I know they have a store in the SF Bay area, but their website was pretty fantastic. I was involved in picking out the ring and they even helped my fiance deceive me so that his proposal with this particular ring would be a complete surprise :)
@mschad: I was in love with a Lang ring, but oh, she was a couple thousand over budget. So beautiful.
@love108: They do have a lot of fantastic rings, and lots of super expensive rings, but thankfully I fell in love with one that was well within his budget. The stone quality isn't exactly perfect, but the setting more than makes up for it! And I think I prefer knowing my ring has a sense of history behind it rather than perfect Cs diamond-wise ;)
Wow, all these rings are so pretty! Mine is an Art Deco ring as well. Its from the 1930's, a cluster of 7 small diamonds in the center with 3 more down each side.

Are any of your rings iridium platinum? I'm just thinking I might have to find a vintage wedding band that will be ok with it.. I was thinking a more modern alloy would be an issue-- just like it wouldn't be a great idea to mix different alloys of gold for fear one would wear faster than the other. What are your plans for bands?
Also, if any of your rings were the PT900/iridium platinum, where did you find a jeweler that was comfortable resizing it? It would be made smaller, so I wouldn't think metal would have to be added, but still, I realize it's an uncommon alloy nowadays. Thanks!
love all the vintage bees! I have a vintage style ring and the stone was his grandmothers wedding ring's center diamond.
I have a 1920 art deco illusion set. It was stunning, sadly I'm STILL waiting on it to bbe resized. This was a terrible phone pic from when we bought it :). Also got a wrap for it!
My engagement ring is art deco as well. I believe it's from the early 1920s and I love it, although I will switch it to my right hand when we are married so I don't need to get a curved wedding band.

Here is mine. It was my maternal great grandmothers. I got it in the original case. I love it because of all it stands for...essentially, I'm here because they got married in 1924. I also get a lot of bang for my diamond buck...it is very sparkly and looks like one huge diamond from far away. Couldnt be happier. My band belonged to my paternal grandmother, who I was really close to. I think it will be comforting to wear something of hers everyday for the rest of my life.
