Hey all! I am getting so nervous & excited! Did you send out your invites yet? I have not - what is your RSVP date?

What else do you still have left to do?

Ill bite... I just sent invites out yesterday! AHHH which is later than I wanted because due to our limited seating & it being an hr and a half away we put an early RSVP date of June 4th or June 9th I dont remember exactly!

Omg what else to do... ALOT! I dont have any programs or that planned! We havent heard back from the bishop to even ok that we arent getting married in a church; noone to do hair/makeup! AH Im feeling a little overwhelmed!

I have no programs either yet! Eek!

I am doing the shopping for OOT bags and bathroom baskets today. I am getting all my invites out tomorrow with an RSVP date of July 6 - my mom thinks that is too late but the cards are printed already. . . Oh well. we will deal.

Hair and makeup I found the most difficult too - I just walked into a place, got a trial and booked them. It was easier than I expected.

I got my invites out back in late April with a RSVP deadline of May 15th which was early but many guests are coming from overseas including us so we really needed to see how many people were able to come.

    Things left to do:

    hair/make up

childcare for our 18 month old daughter

    booze and licence

    transport

    accessories

those are the main things I think, so much can't be done until we arrive in Canada 2 weeks before our wedding and I am sure itw ill be manic!

I'm sending my invites out on Monday!  The RSVP date is June 23rd.  I still have to reserve a block of rooms and decide on where I will get my hair done.  We haven't booked our honeymoon yet, either, because I left that up to my fiance :(

    HI all,

Just did my hair and make up trail this weekend and loved it. Next thing on my list are favors, which i can wait a few weeks for so i can have a closer idea of an exact number. I need to work on my bathroom baskets, grooms gifts, flower girl gift, ring bear gift, and parents gift...

I'm still assembling my invites and hope to mail them during this next week, with an RSVP date of July 1. It's coming up so soon! I also am having serious dress regrets and will be buying a different dress in the next few days that I found on eBay. (I had bought a $99 David's Bridal dress that I have now decided I hate.)

We've written the service/vow stuff with our officiant, a good friend who happens to be an Anglican priest, so that will all be fine.

My man still needs to nail down his groomsmen, but we have the bridesmaid dresses ordered, venue booked, decor planned but not purchased. I'm not too worried about it; we're having a pretty casual wedding and the guys will be in khakis & white shirts, with navy ties and navy Chucks. So, no tuxes to order.

I'm going to DIY my flowers, which I'll order online. Same for programs and favors: all designed but not actually ordered.

Hey, I'm joining the conversation late.

I'm getting so stressed, and I just want to it be two months from now. My FMIL gave me a list of 93 names to add to my guest list (even though the invites went on at Easter). And she only gave me names, no addresses, no phone numbers and expects me to "figure it out"

In general his MIL is just plain crazy, which is leading he's parents towards divorce, which I'm stuck in the middle of. My FI is also getting depressed over summer classes and the never ending family drama. I have so much to do and I'm getting so tired of planning. I'm just needed to rant, because I feel like i'm at the brink of tears these days. I can deal with wedding planning, but not the non-stop family drama that's came with it.

Sorry just needed to rant. because I have no one else to rant to. I'm fine now. Finally, buying rings this week. SO fun to shop for them. Now just to get them ordered!

    60 DAYS TO GO!

I can hardly contain my excitement. Most of our wedding is done and planned - but its just paying the rest of the deposits and whatnot that we have left. My FI just booked our DJ yesterday - which I am SO excited about because it was the last thing left on our list.

I have been hearing from our venue and rental company that July 30th booked up FAST! Thank goodness we got on the ball early and put deposits down.

My dress is still at DB being fitted to my measurements. I went in last week and the dress didn't fit - somehow they made it smaller. That was a minor panic moment.

I still need to get things like MOH/BM gifts, our cake cutting set, cake topper, etc. Just small little things that I can find walking down the mall.

We sent our invites out in March(after the STD's we sent in Februray). We had an RSVP date of March 15th. We have all but about 5 of the 85 we invited who have RSVP'd to attend! It is going to be a fabulous day. We wanted to get the invites out, especially after we heard July 30th is a busy day, so we could give our guests(some out of town) plenty of time to make their arrangement and save the date.

It is going to be a FABULOUS day!

    I'M SO EXCITED!

Oh yay I'm so glad I found this!  We are getting super excited!  We just hit the 2 month mark yesterday, and I still feel like I have so much more to do!

We sent our invites out at the end of April and our due date is July 1.

We still have to meet with our venue and work out some details.  I also have to work on a few DIY projects that are still in process.  I'm finally feeling like things are coming together nicely!

I'm starting to feel a little flutter of nervousness too :P  Probably will go away once I get more stuff done :)

Are any of you having an outdoor wedding? We are - and I have the most beautiful aisle runner - but I'm a little worried about how to keep it down if it gets a little breezy(which it tends to in WA in July). Any ideas?

I've already posted in this thread once but I would like to post again and say that I am so sick of wedding planning.  My invites went out and now everyone is asking where we're registered...but we're not registered!  So now we have to do that this weekend because people like giving gifts instead of money.  Which I understand, it's just another thing I have to do when I'd rather be sitting at home reading a book!

@afuturemrsl: Hey sorry for the slow response. Haven't been on weddingbees much lately. THANKs!

I'm also getting sick of wedding planning like @assilem: so many stresses lately. Just want to be married, and not have a giant event to plan anymore.

Thanks for starting this.  Today- we are booking airfare, and confirming the room block.  I felt I was so behind the 8 ball -- guess Im not.  Its just been so hard pinning people down.  I feel like I have been herding penguins for the past year.  Nothing could get settled.... NOW-- I am pretty sure I have a photographer, we decided on the Vegas Casino, and timeline.  I have my dress.  Once the tickets are booked I will feel "comitted" or maybe I will need to be committed....

Hey ladies! I haven´t been on the boards at all these past few weeks so I missed this thread completely. I´m starting to freak out. We have a roughly 50% response and the RSVPs are due Sunday when I get back in the states from my research (I so should have done that last summer but too late now, almost finished thankfully). Paper and Ribbons for the pew ends are ordered, I´m ordering flowers next week, and the table bios should be finished tomorrow or Thursday depending on FH´s schedule back home.
We still have to finish the playlists, order my veil, and actually practice our first dance together (I´m getting strange looks dancing around on the apartment roof by myself here)

I just really want this to be over- but that may be the cabin fever talking. I´ll hopefully be more excited next week when I´m back in civilization.

Lisamr    July 31, 2011   Live in Florida Wedding in Long Island, NY where I am from.

Hey I'm July 31st so same weekend. We are supposed to have our music picked and sent to the DJ, vows written and notes to the rabbi written by June 30th but none is done yet. I never realized how hard picking music is. I have finally gotton him to help pick our grand entrance song and first dance song. Our rsvp date was this week and still missing responses disappointed my friend who said she would travel to NY is not going to be able to. But I had my bachlerette party last weekend which was fun down here in Florida. Looking forward to my 2nd bridal shower on July 17th since coworkers made me onw here before the school year ended. I'm still excited even if lots of people can't come will have about 90 people at the wedding and we invited 155.

I have to get some decor under way.

Also have to get one of my dresses fitted. (Well the top for my sari. Smile) I have to buy the fabric though. I've actually been LAZY!

I don't feel like doing anything anymore. Summer is finally here and I just want to be out there and having fun in the sun! Cool I REALLY should stop procrastinating..........

This makes me realize that I have a LOT to do yet!

I still need to find a bartender... I have been putting that off, which is bad.

Accessories, buying the rest of the alcohol, and hacking out the rest of the DJ stuff are the big things. We sent out our invites with a July 1st deadline, and SURPRISE a lot of people still haven't responded! I still have started on the seating chart though.

Ahhh! So close! Good luck ladies!

glad I am not the only one with lots to do. as we are a sort of destination wedding (we live overseas but are getting married in our home town) soo many things can't be done until we get there but I have been able to do lots over the internet.

I am actually hoping to buy my accessories and BM gifts at the airport in duty free.

How are we all of a sudden 3 week away?!  I have to make various signs for the venue, finalize our music (we still don't have a first dance song), print up the seating chart, make the table names, order the kegs, buy the vodka and cran juice...I know there's more, but it's so overwhelming!  I have my bachelorette party this weekend, can't wait!

I cant believe how much I CANNOT complete until I get to Las Vegas.  We arrive Wednesday for ceremony Saturday.  And wouldnt you know as soon as we bought plane tickets the prices got lower. Note: Airplane tickets are like wedding dresses- STOP looking once you bought one.   Last night we did book our elvis for the mocktail hour- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf_ciLJRjEY

Ive done just about all I can do before I get there.  Not easy for an OCD person but maybe this is the universe's way of  helping to "give it up"

Anyone else down to the annoying little nitpicky things on their list?  I have all these phone calls to make, last-minute items to buy, little details to organize... blah.

I have really enjoyed wedding planning, but I must admit, while it's getting very exciting and everything, I am NOT enjoying these last few weeks of planning.  It just seems way more stressful than before, when all I was doing was the fun stuff--making bouquets and centerpieces and invitations!

Ug I just want July 30th to get here ASAP!

Yep, I'm definitely ready to be done planning.  This last month is flying by...all of a sudden are are 2 1/2 weeks out.  What?!  I need to get my table names done, finalize the timeline, wrap things up with all the vendors so we are all on the same page, make all the signs for the bar, bathroom basket, etc.  We also don't have a first dance song yet, mother/son song, and apparently we need a cake cutting song?  oy vey

I still don't even have a wedding ring! eek. I have had no luck finding one here so hopefully I will find one in Canada.

My calendar is soo booked with appointmnets, practically as soon as we get off the plane...

    @Oribel013690:

I know. I feel like the hare that just got its rear-end trounced by a tortoise. I thought I was so ahead of the game. The 'little stuff'...who the heck decided to call it little stuff? It's huge!

I'm really envious of all the people on here who are saying they've enjoyed the planning process. God, I've hated it. What I really wanted was a backyard, quirky, personal thing and somehow I'm having a very large, traditional and commercial frou frou thing with way too many details that I really could care less about. How that all happened is a long story and beside the point. Lately, I look at him, then look at all of this piddly stuff that still needs to get done and say, "This is is so nuts! I just want to marry you!"

We were so tempted to just take off and go to Vegas back in Feb.. I wish we would have.

There is something wonderful that has emerged out of all of this meaningless wedding blah blah blah: I resent the meaningless wedding blah blah blah because it is all so unnecessary. I simply love the guy with all that I am and want to commit to be his partner for the rest of my life. The cake could topple over, my dress could pop off of me, the venue could close down and really none of it matters at all. At the end of the day, I'll still be married even if the minister doesn't show since one of the groomsmen and at least one of the guests are also officiants. :)

So, to anyone else marrying in just over two short weeks: don't let anything ridiculous get in the way of what this is all really supposed to be about. In the scheme of things, it doesn't matter. If family or the bridal party is being stupid, let them be stupid (mine are amazing, but this seems to be a common theme here), whatever the issue, no matter the issue, just let it roll off your back.

Off to go take my own advice. :) Good luck, everyone!

    Things left:

Find bouquet pins and then wrap the bouquets in ribbon (using dried lavender)

Get a stamp to emboss on the programs since I misalinged the title on them (oops)

Reorder the seats since we're down ~50 people from what we expected

    Print a Seating Chart

Print the Pictures for the Tables

Buy two new frames and print out 2 bios that I chopped too much

    Finish the ceremony

Oh my, I'm slightly freaking out.  I thought everything was under control and suddenly there is 2 weeks left and I still haven't gotten my programs, seating chart, etc. printed.  Guy at the copy center told me yesterday, "Way to be on top of things."  When I told him it was 2 weeks away.  Whatever, I'm sure whatever doesn't get done, wasn't needed anyway.  Right?!?

@rbauzo:  EXACTLY!  Now tell this to me again when I'm 4 hours from the wedding and realize AGAIN that I've forgotten some detail.

You know what I hate?  I hate it when I'm up to my ears in little details that I still have to work out and some idiot says to me, "Hey, have you thought at all about [insert some wedding-related item] yet?"

First.  I probably have, so stop assuming I don't know how to plan my own wedding.

Second.  If I haven't thought about it yet, then I really don't think it matters at this point.  So stop adding to my stress levels!
