@Firemansgirl:

The most exciting thing going on: we’re getting 2 kittens!  YAY!!!!!!  It’s my wedding gift from my husband  😀  (That I hinted that he should get me very strongly, lol.)  Probably won’t have them for a couple weeks, but I can’t wait.

Besides that, everything’s pretty much the same since we own a home together and have been together for eons.  But everything’s just a little more special now that we’re married.  Our friends and family keep talking about how incredibly fun and awesome our wedding was 🙂

Good luck / congrats on the move and school!  My husband is an RN – he hated nursing school but really likes being an actual nurse so far.  So stick it out!

things with us are good! Like @lolot:  we lived together before the wedding so in day to day life, nothing is very different – but I LOVE calling him my husband.

I finally got the official marriage certificate so I went to Social Security last week to change my name and today I get to go to HR and the DMV to change my name and finagle our health insurance.

We are also TTC (we were before the wedding too) so we are hoping for a little addition as soon as possible 🙂

I actually took the day off to go to the BMV (DMV in IN; it is Bureau instead of Department, so weird to me LoL) to change my license (name and state, as I am originally from IL) and other car stuff.  If you move in from out of state you have to take the written exam!  I actually studied last night, felt pretty silly but I would’ve felt even sillier had I failed haha.

DH left on Monday to go to a consulting job his company is doing in another state :[  The plan right now is he will be gone all week and come home for the weekends either on Fridays or Saturdays, and the job lasts until the end of November.  I HATE it!!  Having trouble sleeping at night without him here.  Before he left, everything was awesome though!!

@lolot:  Kittens!!!!  😀  I’m hoping we will get a puppy soon, but that is a we will see 😉

@Firemansgirl:  I can’t wait to spend the holidays together too!!  Now that we have our own place, we need to decide which holiday we’ll host at our house haha XD

Oh and the post-wedding diet is WAY more fun than the pre-wedding diet, am I right?!?

@elysion:  That sucks.  We’ve done a lot of time apart due to our jobs and yeah, not so fun.  I try to enjoy the time when he’s gone by doing things we wouldn’t do together – watch trashy TV on Hulu, drink wine by myself, go out with girlfriends, etc.  And maybe you do need that puppy to keep you company??  😉

We were going to get a kitten, but our rogue cat came back in full force, so he is keeping our hands full right now. I think he is teaching us what having children will be like…waking us up to feed and cuddle lol

I started a volunteer gig as a public relations coordinator, so I’m getting back into what I studied in college, while still working full time at a job I really like.

I am still waiting on the marriage cert so I can start the official name change process. August was packed with weddings so there’s probably going to be a delay

And my husband (!) is hunting for a new job, so fingers crossed for him!

Got my stuff changed except my credit cards and some other stuff. Really annoying that I just have to fill out a form and show my marriage license to change my SS card, but I have to go through a whole rigamarole to freaking change the name on my cards. ARGH.

I’m also job hunting. I had an interview yesterday that seemed to go really well, so I’m hoping. 🙂

I also had to explain to someone who got married two weeks after us that she should not have sent in a form and a check to pay for a copy of the marriage license that her officiant should have handed her after the ceremony. Sigh.

Pretty good – I’ve even managed to wear my wedding dress again in a different forum (opening gala at the opera)!  Got a ton of compliments on it… even by a Project Runway contestant. It was like a second wedding! lol

My name’s all changed! My DH and I moved to the beach and I started my new job. I look bacm at my wedding photos and I don’t really like my dress choices in the end so I’m trying to get over that and focus on being MARRIED!! Which I love. I too am looking forward to spending the holidays as husband and wife! And we started trying for a baby so I’m suuuuper excited!

Hard to believe we’ve already been married for 7 weeks. I remember when we had 7 weeks left until the wedding and it seemed so close yet SO FAR away! We are really enjoying being married and not having to plan a wedding anymore! But as of right now, we already have 6 weddings to go to next year! So thankful ours isn’t somewhere in between all of those! We also adopted a new dog two weeks ago!

I changed my name 2 days after. I would have the day after, but it was Sunday. Lol Since then life has been good. We have always had separate accounts for everything, but we opened a joint credit card… because we could. I love looking at his ring, sometimes even more then my own.

Been super busy: new city, new job, etc!

Name change in the UK is a fairly simple business – you just wave your marriage certificate at people and it is all sorted – bank was super-easy and my passport was even pre-ordered! Haven’t changed everything yet though – it’s a bit of a long process isn’t it?!

Being married to my lovely man is a nice feeling 🙂

However, I haven’t got any kittens (or puppies) – is this a standard gift for the first month of marriage?! I might have to complain… 🙂

@RainStorm:  you should tell him that you learned on Weddingbee that puppies/kittens are the traditional next step after marriage 😉
