I know for sure that I don't want to be announced as Mr. and Mrs. His First Name His Last Name.  I'm a person, too!  I want to be acknowledged.

So how are you being announced at your wedding/how were you announced?

    I'm with you!

Right now, we'll be introduced with both of our first names and my last name...not sure of the order though since he's taking my name Smile

Though we could skip the "Mr. and Mrs." altogether!

FI is really big on the Mr. and Mrs. HisFirstName HisLastName.  Honestly, I don't want to be addressed as that IRL on a daily basis, but I'm letting him have this one for the reception ;o)

I kinda like the idea of just saying His First Name and My First Name His Last Name.  Does that work?  For instance, Bob and Sara Smith?  Or should it be Sara and Bob Smith?  Since it's his last name?  Or we could do Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Sara Smith...?

@PrncssDva: It was his idea! It stemmed from me saying that when I got married I'd be keeping my own name. He didn't want to hypennate our childrens' names (which isn't what I meant...) so he said he'd take my name. Plus, he's not a big fan of his father's, so it worked out just fine.

@SaraFoxy0328: I think it would work with something like "Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Bob and Sara Smith" or vice versa.

Maybe I was unclear, but that's what I meant...."Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Sara Smith"...lol

I think the "Mr. and Mrs. HisFirst HisLast" is cute. Mainly because it is the first time I'll be called that. My fiance and I both think it is important (I'll be taking his name).

@SaraFoxy- you are the bride! of course everyone already knows your name and knows who you are. You are going to be the center of attention all day, so I don't think you need to worry about getting proper acknowledgement :) But if you want, I'd say do "Mr. and Mrs. HisFirst and YourFirst His Last"
