We are beginning to think about our first anniversary. I think that we are going to go on a cruise in May (not on the anniversary but it's when we are probably going to have time off). It will be a late honeymoon since we never went on one!
Hmm, we haven't really talked about it all together, but I think we will probably either spend a long weekend in the Bay Area (i'm dying to visit), at catalina, or on a short cruise.
Depends on where the budget stands 7 months from now! We probably won't get each other much for gifts.
Ooh, I don't know, but thanks for making me think about it. It's coming up in two weeks or so, I guess. I'm hoping that whatever we do can involve our daughter, who SHOULD be here by then, seeing as she's due on Friday. Not feeling like the little bugger will actually show up on time, but she had better not make us wait until the 12th. :)
That's funny that you bring this up because we were just married September 19th and already have our 1 yr anniversary trip planned! Our honeymoon was kind of lame due to the fact that we were both really sick so while we were there we decided that to make up for it we would spend our 1st anniversary in Hawaii! I love the idea and it's kind of exciting to have something to plan and look forward to now that the wedding is over!
God willing our 1st Anniversary will be on Halloween and I already know that I'll want to stay home and pass out candy in our new home/neighborhood. Can't wait!!!
Congrats everyone!
We just celebrated our first anniversary in November and had a great time! We planned a weekend at the hotel where we got married, and did an anniversary photo shoot in downtown Annapolis. We also went out for dinner and had the top layer of our cake recreated. It was super romantic!

For those of you who are recently married, are you already planning your first anniversary?
I'm slightly ashamed to admit that we are, and we just got married in September!
We had a destination wedding in one of our favorite little towns and because the wedding weekend was such a whirlwind, we didn't really get to do a lot of the things we love doing there. So for our first anniversary, we plan on going back and spending a long weekend there. We're also considering doing a quick photo shoot also because after our wedding, we didn't have time to schedule a day after shoot, and we both kind of regretted it.
Is anyone planning on doing anything special for their first anniversary, or are you keeping it low key?
