bump & approx how long does it take to sign, and take pictures? I found a song I want played that is just over 3 minutes.
We actually had to sign ours the night before the wedding so we have no pictures of it and we did it separately. Laying your bouquet on the table would make for great pictures though!
Ohh that's interesting. I'm pretty sure we'll be signing ours during the ceremony...
I've never seen a wedding where they signed it as part of the ceremony. The one wedding where I was MOH, we signed it on a random table at the reception.
Hmm, I've never heard of this, maybe it is a Canadian thing?
We got so wrapped up we almost forgot to sign ours! We were just going to do it after the ceremony, but forgot. Thankfully our pastor remembered on his way home and turned around hehe. We just did it at the table with our programs and guest book, but adding your bouquet sounds pretty.
I'd guess it took us less than a minute to do though - the 2 of us signed it, our pastor, and our 2 witnesses (even though their signatures weren't really required in our state). If you plan to do it during the ceremony maybe you can cut your song down to a minute or so?
I have to decorate the table? Aw, crap- one more thing to worry about!
We are having a Ketubah, so we will most likely be having pictures taken of us signing it. I didn't even think about having the table decorated. Why not just lay your bouquet on the table? That + the nice white tablecloth would be a nice backdrop while keeping the camera focus on what is important.
We are going to have the small table draped with a black table cloth, and one of our centrepiece lanterns on one corner of the table, I will lay my bouquet on the other corner. I was going to have a draped overlay, but the ceremony is on a balcony, so I am afraid the nicely draped overlay will blow away!
We'll just have a table draped with a burgundy tablecloth. Our sand ceremony set will also be on that table.
We just have a wrought iron table, and we'll probably put mine and the MOH's bouquet's on it, since we'll both need to put them down to sign. Not doing anything to special for decorations.
I was in a wedding two summers ago as the MOH. It definitely took less than 5 minutes for all four of us to sign the license and the photographer just kind of took pictures while we went about our business, with one more "posed" one with the bride and groom.
We do that over here! *waves*. I'm planning on just having my bouquet on the table and signing it. It's only ever taken a minute, maybe two max when I've seen it done.
we don't do it during the ceremony, but we'll have a table during the ceremony for other reasons (holding kiddush cups and glass for breaking of the glass). we'e just going to put a simple little vase of flowers on it.
We have a... I'm not sure how to describe it. Iron covered with white enamel filigree table and chairs... like this http://www.stacksandstacks.com/images/product/reg-104114.jpg pretty much.
I'm not planning on decorating it - I like the white and the pattern. Might have to bring something to hold it down so the register doesn't get blown away during the ceremony. Otherwise I guess just my bible/posy that I'm carrying up the aisle.

How are you decorating the table where you'll sign the license/certificate during the ceremony? Our venue will provide the table with a white tablecloth but I'm wondering if I should do anything else to it? I was thinking of maybe just laying my bouquet on the table while signing for some "decoration".
