We’re having a wish tree instead of the guest book, and we’re using apples as escort cards (with the name tied to the stem to look like a leaf). So we’re going to place the apples under the tree.

I had the seating chart in a 16×20 silver frame, which I was able to use later in our home.

We’re just doing escort cards.  I think its much easier for people to pick up the card with their name and take it with them than to have to scan a seating chart to find their place.

we did escort cards with the name on one side and the table number stamped on the inside, so they could choose which place at the assigned table they wanted.

We did a french bulletin board (the one with ribbons that you tuck stuff into) and printed each table and person at the table on a piece of cardstock and tucked it into the ribbons.  And, to fill it out, we tucked a few pics of me and DH in there as well.

Sort of like this, but much less messy

We are printing our seating chart on 16×20 and then our venue has a frame and easel to put it in.  Could you rent an easel from somewhere?  Try your florist.  One florist we met with offered to rent us one (and print the thing too!)  Good luck!

Sunshine, how many people are you having, have a theme, or general look you are going for?

Is a simple table with card tents and a few gerbera daisie heads separating the rows not an option?

I made cute little placecards and the DOC put them on our tables. But i totally goofed b/c i wrote the seating chart in a rush before the reception. WOOPS! Everybody got fed so that’s all that matters, ha.
