I have a good friend who isn’t a bridesmaid (I don’t like big wedding parties) but she’s doing a reading for us. 🙂

We have family doing readings, being MCs as well and instead of parents we are having our siblings do family speeches due to some issues with parents not getting along.

Let’s see:

My son and daughter were our wedding party.

My brother, SIL, sister, and several close friends all gave some of the seven blessings that are part of the ceremony.

A close friend gave the reading.  She also assisted with train-fluffing duties for NotFroofy.  (My son, the dude of honor, was not at all sure he could handle that, and the Maid/Matron of Honor was already fluffing my train.)

A close friend did the video of our wedding.  Her husband operated the CD of the music.

My ex-husband gave the blessing over bread after the ceremony.

If we’d had a chuppah (wedding canopy) that was not free-standing, we could have used another four people as chuppah bearers.  And if we’d had more guests, we could have used ushers.  However, with only twelve guests at our ceremony, they were already all participating in one way or another.

I have my brothers doing readings since it would have made an extremely large wedding with the seven of them!

You did great!  You could add guest book attendant; and someone or several to pass out programs if you’re looking for more things for people to do.
