Of course, besides having a Christian ceremony (you can praise Him for this day, even outside a church! Smile) You can include a special verse, or a prayer on your programs. Also, just a note to your guests on your program giving thanks to God for your blessings, and thanking your parents for support or whatnot is nice thing to include on your program:

For example:

First we want to give all the honor and praise to God for bringing us together, and trust He will continue to watch over us as we begin our lives together. He has truly blessed us in so many ways. Each of you have meant so much in our lives, and we thank you all for sharing this special day with us!

HisName and HerName

*Insert important verse in your life*

Hope this helps! May God bless your marriage!

Were going to have ours say:

 [parents names]

request your presence at the marriage of their children

[our names]

when they ask God’s blessing on their union
and His presence in their new life together.

Just a suggestion 🙂

I would LOVE to find an invite with a cross on it. Alas, most cross themed invites are baptism.

Our invite wording said

“Two lives united in friendship, Two friends united in love, One love united in Christ”

Her name and His Name
Together with their parents …. bla bla bla …lol.

We had worship in our service and mentioned the importance of our relationship with God and eachother in our vows.

Our invites have a simple pearl cross on top I got them off ebay! They will say:

With joyful hearts we ask you to be present as Christ unites (groom’s name) and (bride’s name) in marriage on (wedding date). Then we are probably goin to put a verse at the end. We are thinking one from the Songs.. like “I am my beloved’s and my beloved’s is mine”. Not sure yet though!

On the back page of our programmes, we will thank our guests with this benediction which is a favourite of my FI’s:

Go forth into the world in peace. Be of good courage; Hold fast to that which is good; Render to no man evil for evil; Strengthen the faint hearted; Support the weak; Help the afflicted; Honour all men; Love and serve the Lord, Rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit; And the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be upon you and remain with you always.

I all try and load a pic… hopefully not too big! [attachment=1458068,185036]
