I have been going over this time and time again and I cannot come up with a good answer for our wedding.  Little background, my FI holds a CDL so basically he can't even have one beer in this state because a CDL alcohol level is way lower than the .08 limit normally enforced.  If he is at all suspected of driving under the influence they can yank his license, which means goodbye to the state job he has.  Normally this is fine and I drive since I don't care for drinks (makes me tired after one!) and let him enjoy beer when he does drink.  Our ceremony and reception are being held at the same location so we only need to worry about how we'll make the 20-25 minute drive to the hotel lodge we are staying at.  Oh, and our wedding is over Labor Day weekend so that means check points who knows where and don't want to risk it for sure!

I know a lot of people usually just get in their car and go.  Won't work for us.  A lot of people rent a limo---eh, but we don't want to blow $300 on them since it's stupid to pay that price for a 20 minute drive.  Some people have recommended a taxi---HAHA, don't think so and it would cost probably at least $150 since we are getting married about 30 mins from town and then the drive to get to our locaiton is farther north.  Some people even recommended having one of our parents drive us----no thank you.  While I don't hold the V-card and all I think it's kinda weird to have a parent drop their 28 year old daughter and her new husband off at the hotel knowing what is about to go down.....ewww.  HAHA  So, I'm really stumped.  The family really does need to stay and clean up so they are out.  We don't have a wedding party so that's out too.

Am I just stubborn or am I missing another good option here?  Also, what are your plans?

P.S. I also want to avoid people decorating our car.  I've seen the decor get way out of hand too many times and it's an utter mess.

I've seen quite a few nice vintage cars around our town so I've considered asking about "renting" the car or the services of the car and owner strictly for right before leaving the reception and driving back to town. I figure doesn't hurt to ask.. lol.
