My family stayed to clear everything out, loaded it up in their car(s), and unloaded at our house the next day. It didn’t take them longer than 30 minutes to pick up, as the venue staff also aided in the clean-up.

Definitely recruit people to help you with this, if you can! The bride and groom shouldn’t worry about this after the reception.

I am bringing a bunch of plastic containers labled with what is to go into them. We are also shuttleing our guests but my parents, his parents and a few other family mambers and friends will be helping pack things up. Me and the FI will not be doing any of this and will be heading back to the hotel for the after party.

I think it is pretty common for everything to be cleared out by the end of the night but I could be wrong. For my sister’s wedding a bunch of family members stayed behind to clean everything up. The same will be true for my wedding as well. I know I will be truly thankful for their help!

This is a job for your immediate family and wedding party.  They need to drive to your venue (or take the shuttle back to get their cars after) and LOAD UP!  You and your FI shouldn’t worry about any of that!!  Bridal party—GO!

I put a friend in charge of getting everything together and taking it to her place.  We’re spending our wedding night at our own home so it’s not like they can bring stuff over while we’re *ahem* consumating our marriage HAHA
