Oh my! That is a lot.. but I mean I don’t think there’s ever too many.. unless you go over into the 20’s. We’re only having 2 GM (one the BM) and 4 BM’s (one the MOH and one kind of an attendant for my FI) My flower girl is my 18yo cousin and ring bearer my 17 yo brother

I only have a MOH and FI will have a BM.  We didn’t want to be bothered with having a ton of people for our backyard wedding.

@chocolatelady:  How big is your guest list?! That seems like you may be setting yourself up for a lot of heartache…

Not too big, it’s all what fits you & your FI.

We’re only having 2 BMs, 1-or-2 GMs, and a flower girl: but that’s what suits us.

When our officiant asked about our bridal party size, he said he wasn’t surprised our was small. He said typically, the younger the couple, the larger the bridal party: does that sound like you?

Wow that’s a lot of people lol. I guess it depends on how many people you’re inviting to your wedding…if you’re inviting 60 people, a huge bridal party might be a little odd. If you’re inviting 400 people, it’s probably not so strange.

We have 5 BMs, 6 GMs, 1 flower girl (I think) and 3 ushers.

We had nine on each side, including our honor attendants, junior bridesmaids and junior groomsman, flower girl, and ring bearer. DH has four children and a daughter-in-law, and he really wanted them all to be a part of our wedding, and I agreed.  I actually only had three of my close friends in the wedding; most members of our bridal party were family members.

We are having 3 bridal party on each sides.  We wanted to keep it small.  I wanted my girls to get their hair and makeup done, and I wanted to pay for it.  I don’t think I would have been able to afford paying for more.

We’re having 3 on each side (Sister/MOH, Cousin/BM, Best Friend/BM for me, Brother/Best Man, Best Friend/GM, My Brother/GM for him), I didn’t want a single person we hadn’t known almost our entire lives (we’ve both known our best friends for over a decade) because I wanted to make sure as much as possible that when we look back at pictures in 50 years we have the best chance of still knowing and loving the people in our wedding party. Plus, we both are very anti-drama and more people tends to mean more drama, in general.

We each have a total of 8 on each side.  For me, that felt like a lot, but I have 4 sisters, so that really upped the number.  It is your wedding, so I think if 11 is what you are comfortable with, then go with it!

I currently have 1 MH 2 BM and 1 JBM. 1 flower girl

As well has 1 BM and 3 GM and 1 JGM. no ring b.

I had drama with my bridesmaids and 3 backed out, because they could not afford to pay for anything…… however are in another wedding before mine… (ALTHOUGH I HAD ASKED THEM TO BE IN MINE FIRST!)

So i’m looking for another BM 🙁

I have one maid of honor, one matron of honor, one brides-man, and 6 bridesmaids, and we have 8 groomsmen.  It’s a lot and my FI’s idea really.  He is in a bandand thy have a tradition of all of them being in each others bridal parties. So that’s how we ended up here!
