Just trying to get an early start. It wouldn’t be until this summer. How many people attended your shower? I’m thinking about 50ish people. Is having 50 people for one party too much? I’m thinking of renting a hall but I still want it to be intimate. For those of you that had 50 plus people in party was it chaotic? Trying to decide if I should even split it into family one and then a friends/coworkers one? Thoughts please?

I’m inviting about 60 people, expecting around 50. But you should just hand your guest list over to the host and they will take care of renting the hall, sending invites, etc. I think 50 people is a pretty good number.

@dessilove: Generally the bride doesn’t plan her shower, family or friends do. 50 people is a large party, most showers are smaller (20ish) but 50 is not unheard of.
