she is gorgeous.. trying to think of what she looks like... have any photos with her paws? ;)
Usually you can tell how big your dog is going to grow by the size of the paws. If the paws are huge its going to be a big puppy :)
For example, look at the picture of my puppy, Bella. Hew paws are huge, she grew up to be 75 pound dog, i love her :)
@mashka- She is so cute!! Her paws don't seem that large, but she has the deepest bark I have ever heard come from a puppy.
I have a feeling Gracie is going to be around 40-50 pounds..my guess :) She is adorable!
i was gonna say 40-50.. dont think she will be larger than 50.. very cute dog!!
Judging by thoe paws and her build, I agree with a 50 max but probably closer to 40-45.
Our friends adopted a rescue puppy who was just a ball of fur at 3 months. They said she would end up being 30-40 pounds...and she is now 105 pounds! They had no idea what she was when she was a puppy :) But we all love her, she is a great dog.
Did the vet have any idea what kind of dog she could be? She looks like she might have border collie. I agree with maybe around 50pounds.
@quiche- I have always had shelter dogs and it was years until we figured out what they were and they have made some of the best pets! Funny enough I did adopt a purebred from the shelter so that's the only reason I know what my other dog is.
@Bride Collen- It's funny that you say that because that's what she is supposed to be according the the shelter. However she acts nothing like a border collie the way she plays, stands, barks, etc. is a shepherd however she is way too little.
Roxy, she could be a shepherd/border collie mix, with or without something else thrown in for good measure. BCs are pretty small, and if you factor in a small GSD, she could be a mix of the two. It will be interesting to see what she looks like when she's done growing! :)
I don't know anything about dogs (although I've heard the paw thing before), but she's awfully cute!
@MissApricot- But the black is throwing me off... my border collie is 45 pounds so I would think she would be a little bigger if she was shepherd. Who know?! But we'll keep her.
I grew up with massive dogs and I went to the shelter to get a bull mastiff lab mix and fell in love with this 8 week old border collie puppy in the first pen. I guess they just pick you!
She is adorable. That curled tail makes me think chow is in there somewhere. If she is anything like my collie/chow/lab mix, she will be around 45 lbs

So my little Gracie was adopted from the shelter. We pretty much have no clue what she is and the vet knew was that by her teeth she is around 4-4 1/2 months.
Not that it matters, but I'm a little curious as to how big she will get. Right now she is 24 pounds. How large was your dog in the fourth month and how much do they weigh now?
