This is the hall we most likely end up getting for our reception. Our colors are black, white, and burgundy. Should I use balloons, flowers or what. I will be using plastic everything. So how would you decorate this hall. The only down side is no liquor, because it’s a public park 🙁 This a 360 degree virtual tour so you can move the cursor around and get a much better look. thank you ladies 🙂

What’s the budget?
The hall is pretty much a blank canvas. I think by having a few long rows of tables dressed in white linens is an excellent start. Maybe a set up like this: http://www.watermillockvillagehall.co.uk/images/VillageHall3.JPG
The chairs work nicely with your color theme.

I did mine in a park as well and even though I didn’t care to have alcohol (I wasn’t old enough to drink yet lol) having all plastic sucked…at first! I made it all work though 🙂 I think maureen9004 is right by asking the budget. You could do whatever really. If you wanted to darken things up you could put strands of clear lights around it to make it more a dinner lighting, depends on what time your reception is too. I would want to do something with the plain walls also.

I would use a lot of white lights and curtains across the doorways/windows. Something like these pics:
I think it would be really pretty to have white lights running across the ceiling, with long, sheer curtains flowing down the windows/doors. You could tie them back in the doorways with burgundy ribbon or braid.
ETA: You could also look into renting trees from greenhouses. The ones in my area will rent them for 10% of the selling price, so each tree is between $10-25 to rent for a day. If it’s your thing, and you have friends who own a pick up, trees would also add a lot of dimension and interest to areas that are harder to jazz up, like the corners and such.

I really like this! You could make the tables so there is a center like this and get stuff to hang from the ceiling 😉

I have a $100 budget to decorate this hall. EVERYTHING is coming from the dollar tree. We are using PASTIC EVERYTHING

You could make those HUGE pom poms out of tissue paper to hang from the ceilings. Pick two colors, have alternating colored tablecloth with the flatware. The party stores usually have those pretty cheap. Balloons, I think it’s a cheap way to add a ton of color. At least it’s pretty bright in there.

I agree with @stbMohror and i think this is a very budget-friendy way to decorate. I would use burgundy drapes like these with the lights, and some black and white ones as well but without lights. And i love the wooden ceiling, so i would not cover it.
