Miss Pom recentcly did a post about her pets and asked how others were planning on incorporating their pets, which got me thinking. I would like other peoples' advice about how I could incorporate my dad's pooch into my bid day.
First a little background... My parents are divorced and my dad lost his significant other to cancer 4 years ago. My dad is a burly outdoorsy guy, but has had "Fancy", a rat terrier, for around a decade. She goes everywhere with him, and is much like a therapy dog. She is a sweetie and really part of the family.
We are having a church wedding, so the only way I can think to incorporate her into the wedding is for pictures after the ceremony. Anyone have any other ideas?
She could be the ring bearer? Tie the ring pillow to her collar? She could greet people at the church. She could help walk you down the aisle? You can probably add her any way you'd like! I think that is so sweet and nice!!
Could Fancy come to the reception at least for a little while? Just a thought. And I would include Fancy in post wedding pics. We did this with our pug. We had a little photo shoot with him at my parents house after we cut the cake. Luckily my parents live with a couple of blocks from our reception venue.
