I really love how vintage pictures look! I’ve found so many that are just random pictures, the actual people have no real meaning to me, but I love how they look. They’re all wedding picture from like the 1900’s – 40’s and even some 50’s and 60’s.
I don’t really have a theme yet, I like white/gold/diamonds, get inspiration from Marie Antionette, and I love Navy blue, but I haven’t put it all together.
What do you think? ..
(the vintage picture here is not mine btw, but this is basically the look of the pictures I have and like to use)

i think it is a cute idea. i am doing a Tiffany blue thema nd decided to use black and white photos of audrey hepburn and grace kelley and movies they were in. I am placing them in older frames. Metal that is. I think I am going to try and place then in small frames and put them on the tables and food tables also.
I do not know if that helped at all, but i hope it did a little.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with including pictures of people you don’t know, but think how great it would be to include pictures of people you do know!
At http://www.picnik.com you can make any photos look vintage just by clicking some buttons (it’s really easy- I used it to spruce up some of my wedding photos). Like make them black and white, or make them look faded and old.
Then you could use your epics!
Or- what about gathering wedding photos from your family? On my guest book table I included frames with photos of my and my husband’s parents and grandparents. [attachment=170354,11390] [attachment=170354,11391] [attachment=170354,11392]

I think this is a great idea & it would be fantastic to include vintage pictures of you and your hubby to be. Are you planning an engagement shoot? Perhaps you could explain this to yoru photographer and they could help you get the look that you want.
If not, you can still get the vintage look– your table numbers could be vintage looking and in picture frames similar to those you posted. Or even just other vintage pictures– it could all look very cool!

Hmm, I like the idea of vintage pictures of fiance and I!

I love the idea. I think the classic pics will look great with colors like you mentioned. Maybe some family members could offer pics to add to the mix – it would be cool for some of them to be meaningful.

I <3 vintage pics as well. We ordered vintage post cards of Pittsburgh and are using them as our table numbers. We’re also having wedding photos of family members displayed about the reception — some of them are legit vintage. I would do whatever you think will look best and reflect your style for the day 🙂
