I have several enhancers. They are like a slip on or clip on jewelled brooch. Gives either a necklace or a pearl necklace some "oomph".
You can also wear another necklace with it!
I am ALL for wearing another necklace with it! I hardly ever accessorize at work. Short black pleated skirts, black tights, high black heels, men's white cotton shirts and I'm good to go! But for this wedding -- try and stop me! I'm wearing a most sparkly 3-inch wide rhinestone choker necklace that I found on line and underneath that to fit in the collar bone part (it looks like part of the choker itself) another rhinestone necklace that has rhinestone floral and leaf design with a few pearls dangling from it. The mix is stunning. No kidding. Plus, wide silver-colored cuffs with rhinestones, my diamond rings, some silvery-crystal beading on the boned bodice of my dress and train and bolero.... my rings of course.... I never ever thought I'd want to adorn myself in this much sparkle. I say go for it -- dress up g'ma's pearl necklace!
If you don't find a way to jazz it up to your liking, you could always wrap it around your bouquet or wrist as a bracelet.
I like the idea of you wearing an heirloom pearl necklace and adding an enhancer to remember your special day...Barbara Bixby makes some gorgeous key enhancers that work well with pearls...here is one that comes with a pearl necklace but she has quite a few in sterling silver with 18k gold accents on QVC...she also has a gold collection at independent jewelry houses - much more expensive but comparable workmanship as her sterling line...
this enhancer will be an heirloom for you to pass down...not to mention you can always add to your Bixby collection over time...Laure

Ladies,
I will be wearing a strand of pearls my grandparents gave me when I graduated from college. They are beautiful but not in line with my style exactly. I would love to add something to them to make them more me. Have any of you ever heard of or seen pendants that can be placed on pearl necklaces and then removed?
Thanks for your help!
