We’re still looking at venues for our summer wedding and I really like this one, but it presents a bit of a problem.
How do you decorate a venue that already has so much character? Even the sparse decoration in this photo don’t seem to “go.” What do you think?

What sort of theme are you looking at? Maybe if I knew what you’re going for, I could target some suggestions!

What are your colors and your theme

It seems really quaint and rustic- I would go with spring wildflowers, simple centerpieces, and maybe see if you can hang those fun colored chinese lanterns or poofs from the ceiling.
Or, it’s really plain enough that you could do some bold decorations and it would be really nice, since you don’t have a carpet or painted walls to worry about clashing with.

i would build on the woodsy feeling with perhaps green cloths and branch centerpieces
the hanging lights give you something to attach strings of mini lights to, if you want to mimic a starry sky later in the evening.
I would love to try to build something like this out of antlers as focus over the head table-adding some battery operated candles

I really like it. i agree with a rustic type of feel. Maybe candles and mason jars. I feel like that picture with the black folding chairs and the white table clothes are taking away from the actual venue. I would steer clear of that, but I think a rustic feel with wildflowers would be gorgeous!

i would go for a woodsey theme too. So rustric and pretty!

I don’t have a theme yet, still working on the venue. Or should I decide on the theme first? I think I’m missing my bride gene!
We are thinking about a winter wedding though, so this venue would match I hope!
