@arn211: I know a lot of destination places have the option of letting relatives who can't make it view the ceremony on webcam. Is there any possiblilty that you would want/be able to do something like that?
ETA: If you did that I'm not sure if you would want them to be visible on a screen and have them do a reading or anything. That could be an idea. Or if any of the family wishes to say anthing to you they could write it down and send it to you. Then their little sayings could be said during your ceremony.
Skype? Or record some video wishes/speeches to be played at the wedding using a projector.

My fiance and I are getting married in PA in September in a casual, DIY outdoor ceremony and reception. I'm from there and he's from El Salvador. Sadly none of his family, with whom he is very close, will be able to make it to the wedding so I want to do something to include them. Anyone have any creative ideas or suggestions besides just having photos of them on display? My programs aren't done yet so I still have the option of putting something in there. Maybe a reading or something during the ceremony? Help! Thanks ladies!
