I’ve tried to search the boards for people’s experiences with the Kate Spade Karolina shoe, but couldn’t find any. Has anyone worn them or tried them on? They look a bit high (3.5 inches), but are they comfortable? I can’t deal with shoes that put a ton of pressure on the bottom of my sole and cause my toes to bend up too much.
Oh, also: it’s a cocktail reception all night long!

@cassadina: I own about 573928162 Kate Spade heels and they’re beautiful shoes! But they never get comfortable until about the 10th or so time you wear them. And by wear them, I mean an all night, dancing all night kind of time. But if you wear them around the house while you are running around doing stuff for a couple weeks before the wedding, if should be okay.

@JemmyGee: is height something you can break in? I’m mostly worried about not being able to stand because of all the pressure on the bottom of my metatarsals (eeek)

I wore KS Crown for my wedding – took dance lessons in them to help break them in. I used gel inserts to help improve the comfort and lasted the whole wedding. When I wear them now, I typically take them off for dancing. Have you gone to a store to try them on? Take some gel inserts with you and try on in different sizes.
I should add, that I almost never wear heels anymore so I’m out of practice (stupid boston snow/ice + taking public transit = disaster for fancy shoes)

@cassadina: I wore a pair of Karolinas for my home reception and I have to say they were not what I would call “comfortable.” However, they look AMAZING! And perhaps they will be more comfortable if you break them in, as mentioned above.

I don’t want to thread jack, but if anyone has Jimmy Choos with this heel height, I’d love to know how comfy they are.
my Kates aren’t comfortable, but are totally worth pain haha

I wore Kate Spade Sawyers – they are a 3″ heel. I don’t wear heels day to day, but found these to be surprisingly comfortable. I wore them round the house (doing housework etc) before the wedding, and on the day, put them on at about 12:30pm. They were great throughout ceremony, photos, reception and dancing (including a nutbush or two!) We made it to our room at about 11pm, and it was just as I was walking down the hall that my feet said enough! So my review is nothing but positive 🙂

@somersetdarling: I had Choos that were over 3.5″ and they were fairly comfortable. I did change as the night went on but I usually do that with all shoes (except YSL or Giuseppe).
