I think it was pretty even to what I thought it would be like. I didnt have a coordinator so I did alot on my own (and with the help of family, DH and friends) but I thouroughly enjoyed the planning process. That is probably what I miss most about it, not having something to plan or make. I want another wedding :)
I wouldn't say it was more difficult than I expected it to be, but more that I made it much more difficult, flooding my brain with too much inspiration! At some point you just have to stop buying magazines and moving forward with specific ideas... otherwise you get swallowed up with a million projects!!!
for the most part it's easier. there are things here and there that are harder than i thought, like finding a venue and the guest list. but other than that it's not that bad, thanks to the help of my fi!
Much more difficult! There are so many little details and annoying logistics to consider. But I still love it (mostly).
More difficult to me! I thought it would be a cinch and fun, since I like to plan that sort of thing, but I forgot that I wasn't planning a wedding just for Mr. Joe and I, I had EVERYONE ELSE to worry about... If I had found Weddingbee earlier, then maybe it wouldn't have been so difficult :p
But, to be fair, after the ceremony when Mr. Joe and I were alone for a few minutes in the horse and carriage, I said "lets do it again!" heh Wish I could. Older and wiser right? lol Not that I didn't like our wedding (loved it!) but it would be fun.
More difficult/stressful/emotional than I thought. I thought I would be a carefree bride. Maybe I still will be...six weeks left : )
WAY more difficult. I had no experience and no help. In the end it was worth it but I was literally tearing my hair out!
I feel like Penguin, I think I stressed myself out about a lot of things along the way. I had trouble focusing in on ideas because I was always looking at magazines, blogs and WB and getting many different ideas.
I find it's not all that stressful actually! I have almost everything done and I have 7 months left to the wedding. People keep telling me its so much to deal with, but I don't feel that way. I guess cause I'm organised and I did a lot of research beforehand. :)

Was (or is) planning a wedding more or less difficult than you expected it to be?
