I found these cute cookies that had a flower girl poem on them and I mailed them to them! They were cute and delicious! I'll see if I can find the website I got them from! I also sent them a children's flower girl book about the importance of being a flower girl from B&N.
Our flowergirl is so little that we asked her mother! I could have mailed her something cute but I don't think she would have got the sentiment behind it.
I think standard etiquette for FG and RB is to ask their parents anyways because they will be the ones with the responsibilty in helping them!
Oh, I already asked my aunt about five months ago. We just waited to tell them because they would drive her crazy with anticipation. It is time to buy them a dress so I'm looking for something cute to send them to ask them to make them feel special.
My flower girl is my FH goddaughter and my ringbearer is my godson. My godson's mother is my MOH. I asked my MOH, who in turn asked her son (and explained what a ringbearer was! lol) I called my flowergirl's mother and asked her, while I was on the phone she asked her daughter - who jumped off her chair in joy.
One of our Flowergirls is my goddaughter too! and our other flowergirl is my FH first neice! We wont have a ringbearer since there aren't any young boys in either of our families!
My niece and nephew (twins) were actually there on our family vacation the weekend that I got engaged, and they asked ME if they could be my flower girl and ring bearer. They're the little loves of my life, though, so they were the obvious choices. :) I still plan on giving them some sort of little gift before the wedding to honor their participation, though. :)
Aww Driftslikesmoke! Thats is so cute!! Twin ringbearer and flowergirl!! I love it!!!
I will probably take my FG out for lunch and ask her then. I'll ask her mom first, though.
I ended up sending them t-shirts that said Flower girl with a card and a King of the Ring t-shirt with a card asking them. Before I was even engaged my one cousin asked me if she could be her flower girl bc all of her friends had been flower girls and she was desperate to be in a wedding
I'm happy to oblige
My FG is my 2 year old niece who will be 2.75 going on 35 by the wedding date;) She's a little young to really understand it, so I've mostly talked to my sister about it. She is v. excited about the wedding though, I think b/c she understands that there will be cake (she wished us Happy Birthday when we got engaged). She also adores my FI whom, she recently informed my sister, she will be marrying at her wedding to be held "after she goes to the office". But I have asked her about it a few times while talking to her on the phone. Currently she's telling me that she'll think about it and let me know :-D . She is just too adorable for words!
sarsk624, such a cute idea! I might even steal it if you don't mind:)

My little cousins and ring bearer live in Chicago. I'm in Philly so obviously I can't ask face to face. They are dying to be flower girls and are competitive. I want to ask them in a special way that I can mail to them. Any ideas?
