Looking for some creative/fun/inexpensive ways to ask my girls to by my bridesmaids! I’ve found a couple of cute ideas on pinterest but wanted to see if any bees had any fun ideas! I’m absolutely willing to spend a little money on it, just not a ton.. Because I’ll obviously still be getting them gifts and such. What are your ideas?! Also did you do anything special to ask your MOH?

Since valentines day is right around the corner, i pretty much made them valentines..well huge valentines lol. I actually had red poster board and made a 16 inch heart. I bought lace trim and hot glue gunned it atrend the edges of the heart, then I printed out a poem in really pretty cursive writing and in pink letters and put that in the center of the heart then I decorated all around it with little crystals and on the back in glitter I wrote will you be my bridesmaid. They took about 3 hours each to make…lol and they were beautiful they made the girls cry :). For my maid of honor(sister) I made a package of a maid of honor crystal make up bag, maid of honor crystal appliqué to put on a shirt, her favorite candy lol and a pink diamond compact mirror and I threw in a couple pink roses and when she opened it all the gifts were covered with tissue paper and there was a card that I just wrote will you be my maid of honor? I spent $5 on the hearts and like $12 on the maid of honor package!

@jaim1104: I found lots of cute ideas on Pinterest too! My idea was a combination of several ideas I saw, which it’s not the best idea, but I’m on a budget so I went with it. I made a collage at the Wal-Mart photo center for each girl with pics of her and me to remind them of all the good times we’ve had together, and I framed it. Then I printed out homemade cards on cardstock that I folded in half, on the front it said “A special request…” Then the inside said “Will you be my bridesmaid?” and I wrote each of them a special note letting them know why I would like them to be in my wedding. I wrapped both items in tissue paper and put them in a small white box, and made it look like a present with orange ribbon and a pink bow (my wedding colors). Each girl got a box with her name on it in cute letter stickers. I waited til about midnight one night and I went to each girl’s house and put their box at their doorstep so they would see it the next morning first thing. I got texts/calls as soon as they opened their boxes and they all said yes! Even though it was kind of cheesy I got a lot of compliments.
@Kafrine: I love your idea! Perfect for Valentine’s Day!

I called them and asked them over the phone (all of them live in different states than I) 🙂 . I didn’t know about all the cool ideas out there for that. I sometimes feel bad I didn’t do anything fancy but I did it the old fashion way…. plus they’r getting spoiled on the wedding day

I also asked via phone/text. 4 out of 6 just knew they would be anyway.

I sent a box with a ring pop, the “Will you be my bridesmaid” lengthy poem thing I found on pinterest (typed onto a card with ring stickers), and a travel size bottle of vodka with the note “you’re gonna need this”

I made them little boxes with information about the wedding (the lid said “Will you be my bridesmaid?”)

My bridesmaids actually loved the way I asked them. I got little favor boxes and put a ring pop in it. Then I made them each a card in my wedding color and wrote them a letter about why I would want them to be in my wedding. I then ended each one a little differently with a quote about bridesmaids.
Some different ones I used were I couldn’t say I do without you, Now it’s my turn to pop the questions, I got the guy but I still need my girls. After making all of these and writing all their letters I took them all out to dinner to ask them! They all said yes and LOVED the ring pops. I really loved how I asked them!
