I’ve known that I’ve been pregnant for about seven days now… And I still haven’t told my husband. He travels for work and i Actually see him in a few days. i wanted to tell him in person. Every night when I talk to him on the phone I feel like I’m just going to blurted out haha…oh boy
I’ll be taking some items that he asked for. And tucked inside I have two baby onesies… That have phrases that relate to his job! I can’t wait to see his expression 🙂
How did you break the news??

Brilliant thread! Although we are not planning to TTC until after the wedding next October, I already picture all the different ways I could break the news to FI! I want to do something cute and memorable

I always thought I’d put a cinnamon bun in the oven, set a timer and ask him to get it when the timer went off. However, I ended up testing a few days earlier than I expected to. Before I took the test, I had him open a bottle of cider that we both liked. I went into the bathroom, took a sip and took the test. When I emerged from the bathroom, I walked up to him and put my cider glass in front of him. I told him that he would have to finish my cider because I was too pregnant. 🙂

My story isn’t very exciting. I wasn’t really expecting to be pregnant, but I took a test b/c I was surprised AF hadn’t come yet. When the line showed up, I was like “wha?” (I had actually never taken a test before, so I had never seen a positive or negative test IRL, and so part of me was thinking I had done it wrong!) And I was so shocked I just yelled at DH to come here, he was in the other room.

Yeah, my story is not jazzy or romantic at all. I peed on the stick at 8DPO, was like, “holy crap, I think that’s positive” (it was so faint), and when I went up to kiss my husband goodbye before leaving for work, I was like, “Oh, and I got a positive pregnancy test, but it was really faint, and it’s still so early so anything can happen. Safe drive today, love you, bye!” I think he didn’t really believe me until I got a few more positive tests and then did the digital, when we saw the word “PREGNANT”.

I had always thought I’d do something really cute. I’d even bought a onesie for telling him with.. but because it was such a wonderful surprise that I could even get pregnant and I was so shocked, I couldn’t wait, and as soon as I somewhat composed myself after seeing the test myself, I told him I needed to talk to him and just out with it said “I’m pregnant!” and he was so shocked but so happy. He told me “this is what we’ve always wanted” It was so cute! Then I showed him the test and we held each other for a while.
