We aren’t married yet, but we know what we’re doing! We’re going on our honeymoon for our 1 year anniversary. ๐Ÿ™‚

We took a mini trip to Maine for our 1 year…and listed all the places we want to go for future anniversaries ๐Ÿ™‚  Not sure how feasible that will be with a little one in the picture, though.

Ours is a little over a month away and we made reservations through priceline.com using Miss & Mr. Glitter’s tips for bidding on priceline, we were fortunate enough the hotel we stayed at on our wedding night accepted our bid! We plan to make reservations at a nice restaurant in the neighborhood of the hotel so we can walk to and from, and enjoy a staying in the city that night. We’re hoping to maybe see a show that night as well, but maybe we’ll settle for a couples massage! We also have our top tier of our wedding cake in our freezer to eat on our anniversary.

We are staying at the venue where we were married.  It is a bed and breakfast.  We will stay in the same room, too.  We bought our cake at a local bakery/restaurant and will buy another to eat that day, perhaps with my parents and brother.  Perhaps we will go to the zoo and have a picnic lunch.

For our first wedding anniversary I am planning a holiday somewhere sunny…possibly Turkey. We so need a holiday and this is the perfect excuse.

For our first wedding anniversary we are planning on a nice long trip. We want to visit Disneyworld and since we are going to be in Orlando, we gotta see the Harry Potter park in Universal Studios (I’m a nerd, I will proudly admit it! haha). And from Orlando we want to take a week or longer cruise to the Caribbean somewhere. This is the last big trip for us since we will begin TTC then.

For our first wedding anniversary we traveled to China and hiked the Great Wall! It was amazing! Yours sounds very special and intimate – I’m sure it will be wonderful. ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband was finishing his diseration and we were also in the process of  moving nearly 1000 miles.  It was rough.  We really weren’t able to celebrate until about a month later.  We went away for the weekend at a mountain resort, went hiking, enjoyed the views, and just relaxed.  It was really nice and well deserved!  We plan on taking a bigger trip to celebrate our second ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you following the traditional wedding anniversary gifts by year? The first anniversary is “Paper Anniversary.” A sweet idea is to start with that theme, and do the traditional gift every year.

I’m not sure if your husband wears cufflinks or tie bar, but I worked with a designer who customizes them with your vows or wedding song, inscribed on paper. It’s called Paper Anniversary by Anna V. It brought us back to our wedding, and my hubby cried

Good luck whatever you do!

We are going on a cruise, which is also what we did for our honeymoon.  I can’t wait!

We went to a very nice restaurant and ate the top tier of our wedding cake which was just as good as it was a year ago surprisingly. My husband thought he might be travelling for work around our anniversary, so we were hesitant to make big travel plans. He ended up not having to, so I was just thankful to have him home.

We don’t have any solid plans yet, as our anniversary is 6 months away.  We’re either going to:

1. Have a nice dinner at the place we got married, and stay at nice hotel in the area

2. We talked about going back to USVI, which is where we honeymooned (but this might be something we do on a subsequent anniversary).

3. Take a long weekend and go to Vegas

It’s really a toss up right now.

Our anniversary is still about 5 months away but I think we would like to go to the restaurant section of the place we had our reception, maybe walk through the park where we exchanged our vows first with some secretly stashed champagne.

The day after I’m going to defrost the top tier that has been taking a huge chunk of freezer space and invite family and the bridal party over for cake (fingers crossed it tastes okay).

We married on leap year so this Feb is our “first” anniversary. We are going back to Vegas to do a vow renewal. We plan to do it every leap year.
