My FI used to call be bunny when we first started dating 8 years ago. He has since switched to a new nickname but I still have a fondness for it. I even still have the bunny stuffed animal he gave me for my first birthday with him.

How did you choose your name? Is there any special meaning behind it?

My pre-bee username (MagPie518) was a play on words for a nickname my mister and some friends call me -- plus, it means someone talkative (um, that's me) and is a kind of bird that hoards things (also kinda me)...and then, my birthdate.

Well, the one i have now was partially chosen by Weddingbee peeps before I became a bee. I selected "Mary Jane" specifically because I love shoes, and this was the only shoe avatar left to choose (and I love "mary jane" shoes anyway - I have several pairs!).

Prior to my "bee-dom" my username was "marquise miss" because I have a marquise e-ring.

I had been coveting the Mouse icon for months when I finally got chosen to be a bee!  I think it's so cute.  Also, I love cheese and tend to be very quiet when meeting new people or in big groups.

    Little Lulu

Some of my family members call me Lulu or Lulubelle. Lulubelle was already taken, so I opted for Little Lulu which was a cartoon I watched a lot when I was a kid.

My real name is Teresa but my mom used to call me Tessa(my nickname that only she called me) Bella (beautiful in Italian). My mom passed away over 5 years ago so it's my little way of honoring her. Oh and 76 is the year I was born.

My hive name here is Bellenga.

It's funny.  Most people do NOT get it, but it is a run on for Belle N GA (belle in georgia).  I'm a southern belle at heart, and no my name is NOT  Belle believe it or not!

Maybe one day I'll get around to trying for bee-dom.  I might when the ring flies down and plants itself on the left hand!

Mine is one of my screen names I've had since I was 15. I made it my wedingbee name before I got really into it. I wish now I had chosen a Miss so and so name, maybe Miss Sugar since Sugar is my DHs nickname for me :)

Mine is my first name, middle initial, current last initial, and future last initial for when I take my fiance's name. It's totally boring, but I'm still embarrassed about the ridiculous screennames I used to take on when on AIM in middle/high school, so I went with the most basic one imaginable!

I have a slight addiction to red bull.  We stock up at Costco monthly and our top shelf in our fridge is dedicated soley to sugar free red bull.  It's sick really.

    Mrs. DG    July 18, 2009   Seattle/Tahoe

Well, I never thought I was going to become a regular here, so I picked the very utilitarian doctorgirl.  I'm a doctor and a woman... and my SO always called me "Doctorgirl" as in "Hey, you're that doctorgirl, aren't you?"

When I became a more than regular here, I regretted putting my profession front and center.  But luckily Bellenga (and subsequently everyone else) was abbreviating me as DG, and since I'd just gotten married... Well... :)

I chose flip flop for two reasons. My FI was dead-set on a beach wedding, so that's probably going to be my footwear. And because I am very indecisive and I "flip and flop" between ideas. Not just wedding ideas....everything.

    ladybuglove    October 23, 2010

my first name starts with an "L" and i like some of the meanings of the Ladybug, such as:

Perhaps best known as an emblem of luck.  When a Ladybug lands on you, it is said your wish will come true.

Asian traditions hold to the belief that if caught and then released, the Ladybug will faithfully fly to your true love and whisper your name in his/her ear. Upon hearing the Ladybug’s message your true love will hurry his/her way to your side.

In Ireland, the Ladybug is said to be a symbol of protection.

Ancient farmers of the land have considered the Ladybug a good omen as she controls aphid populations.

As a love symbol, this insect totem has been the subject of many wive’s tales in which the number of spots on a Ladybug’s back is said to indicate the number of months to pass before the wish for love comes true.

    source

    and "love," just because.......hence, ladybuglove.............

Well, I don't think mine needs much explanation.  So unoriginal, I know.  But, I don't mind people knowing my first name, and it's short and simple. :)  My icon is from Elizabeth I, which is my all time favorite movie.  She's so regal (duh) and elegant, and that's what I want my wedding to be (well the elegant part).  Plus my hair is getting super long so the picture isn't so far off!

EMG...my initials. We realized in the middle of creating our monogram that my initials weren't changing...my maiden name started with a G and so does my married name.

My screenname (and my avatar pic) is the name of my favorite character from my favorite animated show. Even though she's one of the main villains (and I'm not!), she's an awesome character, and it was the first thing that popped into my mind when I was thinking of a screenname for here :)

Mine for how I was feeling about our engagement and getting married. I also wanted something that didn't have a lot of numbers, so it would be easier for people to deal with. The artichokes in the icon are because FI, for some reason unbeknownst to me, loves pictures of artichokes.

    LovestheBear    July 2011

Lovesthebear-- I've called the mister "Bear" since day one.  Not teddy bear but more iike Bear Grylls.  He loves that show, he's been to ranger school, and he's currently in the special forces.  So it's pretty fitting.  And, I love him.  Hence, Lovesthebear.

You know, I was contemplating changing my username.  I didn't give it much thought when I signed up, but I didn't know I would love Weddingbee so much.  Is there a way to do that and still keep the post tally.  Wait, DG--you changed yours, yes?  So there <span style="font-style: italic;">must be a way...

It's my grandmother's name. On another website I chose this name and refer to myself as my grandmother's name and DH as my grandfather. I added -me because that was the first variation I found available.

@Loves- mine was a special case because my profession was getting confused in my role here.  I had to be extra careful in posting to any health threads and in giving any wellness advice, so a name change was in order!  I don't think it's a feature that's offered because it's really labor intensive to make all parts of the site work.
