Take a deep breath, and have a nice big glass of wine!

I definitely never stopped freaking out until the closing was over and I had the keys in my hands!

From the time we put in an offer to getting the keys was 3 weeks. It really wasn’t bad at all and I was never once stressed. Just relax, it’ll be fine!

It was horrible and I never want to go through it again. I kept myself busy shopping for the new home and arranging for the big move. From choosing the house to move date was 30 days and the first few weeks were ok (paystubs, normal things) but they crammed so much bullshit in at the last minute I thought I’d lose my mind.

An example you ask?

My elderly uncle had written me a check for a few thousand dollars – maybe $2345.67 to cover the cost of a graduate course + books. They decided they wanted his entire bank statement (which he refused to release to them).

@autumnlynnhill:  Ooooh take a deep breath, it will all be okay. We put our offer in in November 2012 and didn’t even get the OKAY until April 2013! We had a short sale, so we didn’t even know if they accepted our offer for 6 months… now that was horrible!

@autumnlynnhill:  It was very nerve wracking, but I tried not to think about it. The whole process of buying a house was very stressful. It took us almost 3 months from putting in our first offer to getting keys. Good Luck!
