I think it's so interesting to hear how everyone found and inevitably became addicted to WB. I found weddingbee because my cousin was Mrs. Lemon's MOH and told me that I had to check out her wedding after I got engaged. Weddingbee and wedding blogs became a quick addiction.
How did you find WB? google? stumble upon? friends?
StumbleUpon! A god send to me when I'm bored. Now I'm obsessed with the boards.
Through Mrs. Avocado and Mrs. Lemonade personal blogs. I was hooked right away and lurked around for a bit before I actually began posting.
I was on another message board and followed Mrs Powder Puff over!
I found Mrs. Avocado while searching for more details about LDS weddings (trying to understand why my friend couldn't invite us) and followed her over. I so wanted to apply to be a bee, but my fiance didn't want alot of photos of us on "the web" so I didn't :(
I saw the site mentioned on the Philly Knot board, and came over to check it out! Haven't really gone back to the Knot -- except to look at hair pictures -- since.
I think I was on SnippetandInk and found a iink on the side...is that right?!? I think it is.
I think I found some of the classifieds on Google or Altavista. I then started looking through the boards and everyone seemed so nice, especially compared to the other wedding website I was on. I've been addicted ever since.
saw it as a "favorite" on another blog (which i can't remember right now).
My sorority sister passed her wedding blogs onto me after I got got engaged. =) Best thing eva!
I was googling "Pittsburgh wedding venues" and came across an old, old post by Mrs. Lollipop describing some venues she didn't pick. Once I figured out what the site was, I was HOOKED! That was about a year ago--Mrs. Cream Puff was the first Bee that I was really into.
Google! I was hooked immediately. But, it took me awhile to actually become a member.
Brooklyn Bride. I started reading that blog and then reading the links. I finally decided to click on Weddingbee one day and realized that it updated all through the day. Oh my!
Was looking for pics of other brides wearing my wedding dress. A google search led me here...and I'm staying here.
A male coworker that had just gotten married let me in on the secret shortly after I got engaged. I've been soaking up the collective wisdom ever since.
i was looking for some inspiration for a wedding planning course I was taking and I came across one of apple cider's posts from her own blog in my google search results. i'm pretty sure it was this post about roses inside ice cubes http://carolynandalan.blogspot.com/2009/02/rose-ice-cubes-great-idea.html
and i clicked her link to weddingbee and here i am 6 months later still here and still loving every post!
i was reading WB when Mrs. Bee was writing her own personal blog of her wedding on Xanga, was hooked and followed it ever since!
Mrs. Kitten introduced me during Constitutional law class, before she was a Bee. :)
I think I saw a random article on MSN that mentioned something about someone (I know it was a Bee obviously but I can't remember who) blogging about her wedding or something of that nature on WeddingBee so I googled it and found the Hive and have been hooked since. I feel bad that I can't remember which Bee it was
.
I can't completely remember how I found it, but I think I was doing some random wedding google searching! I'm so glad I did! :-) I've been telling everyone I know about it since.
I was google-ing DIY printing options for invitation and found the Gocco wiki link :) After I started reading the rest I never left
Two of my recent bride friends INSISTED that I check it out... and I have to say, I owe them one. :)
I got super lucky and happened to click on a link for it on the right side of my screen on some random site while googling and pulling out my hair about a location for our blessed event. Now I pass it on as "the best site in the whole wide world" to any girl I know is getting married.
I can't remember! I think I was either googling something, or I saw WB mentioned on another site. Wanted to reply to someone about something so made an account and away I went haha.
While researching weddings at zoo on Google I found a personal blog of someone who attended a zoo wedding in our hometown. I went to her blog checked it out and saw she had a ton of wedding blogs listed on her site. After hopping around to a few I ended up at Budget Savvy Bride and from there found Weddingbee, became obsessed and started my own blog. Can't believe it's been a year already!
Through Google, though I don't remember exactly what I was searching for.
My MOH, twalison, found it last year whne she was getting married last year and recommended it!
My friend over at the Part Time Happy Homemaker (http://www.pthappyhomemaker.blogspot.com/) told me about Wedding Bee soon after my engagement. I wasn't into it very much at first until I got bit by the blog and started my own. Now I'm here several times a day!
I was googling for info about using silk florals and super late one night made an account and posted, then forgot all about it. 5 months later, I re-found weddingbee while googling for who knwos what, then spent HOURS posting and discovering the site. And I kept coming back =]
i stumbled on it when i googled "my boyfriend has a ring, when will he propose?" lol.
I found it linked somewhere, but I can't remember, maybe Snippet and Ink? I was reading more and more wedding blogs and one day just stumbled on WB! What a great thing that turned out to be! :)
I think I found WeddingBee linked from a Live Journal wedding community!
Through Mrs. Cherry Pie's personal blog (and personal correspondence with her). When she became I bee, I came over here to see what all the fuss was about. :)
I was trying to find photos of lanterns for decoration. One of my bridesmaids sent me a link to Weddingbee with one of the bee's inspirations photos of it. I searched around the site more and started getting hooked right away!
I think I found it through googling "wedding blog". I had a huge list of blogs and weddingbee made it to the top once I found out the rest of the features.
I giggle when other brides ask if I signed up for other wedding communities (which shall remain nameless) because they just don't cut it with the Bee around.
