I am so frustrated with all this wedding planning already and my wedding isn’t until July 21, 2012. I can’t decide on anything, the second I decide on something – I see something else that I like. I am trying to do DIY to save money but all I keep thinking about is how much time it’s going to take to do all of it and how I don’t have any help. I am getting frustrated with the fiance because I feel like he isn’t helping but geez he doesn’t care what color I make the invitations! Oh and my mother – I don’t think you can find a more unsupportive mother in this world. My fiance and I have been together 7 years, good jobs, own a home – but she is convinced that I am going to move back to where she lives and not get married (delusional, she is). I can’t talk to her about anything, she won’t even give me an answer as to whether or not she is coming. My bridesmaids (which consist of my fiance’s sisters) are not nearly as detailed, they don’t understand my projects and really aren’t even willing to help. One of them is so opinionated that I don’t dare ask for her help or opinion.
How did you ladies do it? Did anyone else deal with bridesmaids that weren’t interested in helping or a totally unsupportive mother?

Yes. I was in a similar boat. I used the bee to help me make decisions. There’s always tons of opinions here. I also did the same thing where I would make a decision and then change my mind. I finally decided that I would not change my mind once I made a decision and that was it. I stuck to what I picked and moved forward.

You gotta realize he is just a guy, my husband could have cared less about most things………… he really tried to pretend he did, but once the wedding drew nearer, the people who could have cared less, Maid/Matron of Honor and mother, amazingly started becoming interested. Give it time and use the bee to help out. I have found really good bargains on here, my BM’s bouquets for 6 bucks each! I sold an old engagement ring to make money, i bought an already made cute as ever card box here. And many ideas such as water bottle labels. I am in no way a DIY person, but this site really rocks. I even got the idea to monogram robes, that were on sale, for my girls and it was super cute! If I lived near ya, I would help! Keep your chin up and if you ever just want someone to sound off to PM me! I am married now and need to keep my wedding skills up!!!!

I turn to my Fiance. It’s his wedding, also. So, why not turn to your Fiance for help?
I annoy the hell out of him, yeah, but he agrees it’s OUR wedding so we talk about everything.
