I ordered my dress online, custom made to my measurements, and it’s gorgeous. I think the bust may need to be taken in a bit though. Since I didn’t buy it from a bridal salon I need to find someone to work on my dress, but I don’t know how to go about finding them. I’m about to move to Houston, Texas by the way. How did you find someone to alter your dress? Alternatively I could wear a crazy push up bra, but I’d rather not wear a bra at all (I’m an B cup so I can get away with it).

Look through weddingwire/theknot/other review sites in your area! I didn’t know where to start either but looking through review sites, there are some tailors that will stick out from others. Mine is going to be 30-45 min away from where I live but based on reviews I think it’ll be worth it, so don’t be afraid to look around neighboring towns.

Go through the grapevine: talk to your female relatives, your female friends, their female friends and relatives – anyone who has been a bride or a bridesmaid and has had to deal with alterations. They will be able to recommend the good ones in your area and warn you away from the bad ones.
