I am a two dress bride so I had a couple of different "it's the one" moments hehe!!! I had been eyeing my dress and looking at pictures of it online for about a month before I was able to track it down to try it on. Once I did, I fell in love!
Just to be sure, I tried on a ton more dresses and tried "the one" on for my 3 future sister in laws! I had such a feeling peace when I made my decision!!! Yay!
I am a two dress bride too, and I'm still not sure I have "the one", but I'm def. not getting another dress!! I really, really like the one I have now, but I just keeping seeing all these other dresses online and all the what ifs start........ugh! Just so hard to pick the one dress for this one time event!!
It was the 5th dress I tried on. I liked it and then I put a veil on and I LOVED IT. That was the last dress I tried on, I didn't want to keep looking. Mindy Weiss said something along the lines of "when you look at yourself in the dress do you see the dress or do you see you". That was motto going into it. I think it worked because everyone I show pictures says "It's so you". I really think that "the one" exists because there are several dresses I'm sure I could have fallen in love with and all would have looked equally as good...
I must have tried on about 30 dresses. I had decided to give up and look a month later, but I wanted to try one more store first. I went in there and found two dresses I fell in love with. I couldn't decide which I liked, so I went home and slept on it for a night. I invited my grandma and mom to meet me at the dress shop the next day and when I tried them both on again I knew which I wanted. I couldn't stop smiling and didn't want to take it off...it makes me giddy just thinking about it!
I tried on tons of dresses and had given up for the day, when my sister picked up a dress and handed it to me. I fell in love. I didn't try it on since it was way too small, but I went home and thought about it for a few months and when I went back last weekend and tried a few more dresses on, I tried on my dream dress and knew I had to have it. It is a gorgeous pin-tucked shantung, strapless with a very short train. I love it and can't wait for my FI to see me in it.
I knew it was "the dress" when I put it on and thought, "I feel like Elizabeth Taylor." That may sound silly, but I felt in that dress the way I wanted to feel, even though it didn't necessarily look like what I thought I wanted. I feel sexy, classic, elegant, and fun all at the same time.
I felt the most like myself in it and not like a dressed up doll. I tried on 50+ dresses and am terrible about second guessing myself...but this one couldn't be ignored!

Did you know right away, or did you have to try on a few more to be sure?
How did you react once you finally saw yourself in the gown that you knew was "the one"? Were you alone or did you have friends/family with you and did they agree that it's the gown for you?
