I took a test. :) Sorry, I had no idea until I took the test and then I was floored.
I didn't even miss my period yet, and my sense of smell was off the charts!! So I grabbed one of those tests you can take 5 days before your period is due and sure enough
I just felt weird. No we weren't trying to concieve, but like I said about a week before my missed period I just had a weird feeling!
Home pregnancy test. Other than that it felt like I was about to start my period. A little crampy, super sore boobs, major break out.
@Bostonsmom: Haha that's awesome!! It's like being pregnant makes you a super-human!
I've never been pregnant but my friend ( we'll call her Sarah) has the best story. Sarah's sister was a month late for her period, and was getting really worried she might be pregnant, she was only 20, and not with a boyfriend. She wanted to take a test but she didn't want to do it alone, so she asked her Sarah to take one with her just for fun, and for support. So Sarah did. They waited the few minutes for the test to show results. Sarah had forgotten all about hers. Her sister checked her own test, negative. So she goes to check Sarah's and she busts out with laughter, and says, Sarah, your pregnant! Sarah laughs and says, no that's yours! Her sister reminds her where each of them set their test strips to process, and as Sarah realizes that her sister is right, she freaks out, cause she's only 18!
She had the baby, she and her boyfriend got married 2 years later and are still happily married. Their son is now 10, and they are amazing parents.
@SnowPeony: oh ya there's lots of super powers, you're super-emotional, super-sensitive, super-annoyed by everything, super-hungry, super-nauseaus and super-bitchy lol.
I felt bloated and crampy, but kind of like i was going to start my period, i tested kind of early and was super excited when i saw the two lines!
I had a huge surge of hormones. We were visiting my grandma and DH wanted to go get ice cream and I was really mad that he was making me change out of my pajamas and go with him. As soon as I went into the bedroom to change I started laughing hysterically for about 15 minutes for no reason at all. It was seriously the weirdest thing ever and keyed us in that it might be worth taking a test when we got home the following day.
@SandAndSea: Aww! That's the cutest story :) I'm glad it all worked out for her.
@Bostonsmom: Haha, you made me laugh! It sounds awesome. At least no one can stay mad at you for too long- you're pregnant :D
@SnowPeony: I know that when you get off BC you start to analyze everything. Let me just say that a bunch of things are pregnancy symptoms, but just about all of them are also very normal things to have when you are not pregnant. On average it seems like most people do not notice symptoms until about week 5 (some definitely earlier, some later). All of us who are TTC drive ourselves nuts trying to analyze symptoms, but it's not worth it!
There are many posts like yours and I read all of them and I would say the 2 most common symptoms are super sore boobs and strong sense of smell. It's very unlikely for your stomach to change that early. Good luck if you are trying though!
I felt the usual symptoms that I get right before a period (sore breasts, cramps), just intensified. I also needed to pee a lot more than usual - I had to get up through the night which never happened before.
My boobs got huge but they usually swelled right before my period, cramping and everything else was normal.
You could notice changes in your body because you just went of BC - after going off the pill my period was normal it still took my body some time to adjust to not having the hormones.
Test if you're worried but wait till your close to missing your period otherwise you could get a false negative.
My only sign was that I got extremely giggly. Like laughing like crazy for a half hour straight for no reason. I think it's the hormones being weird. It happened last time, so we had a feeling that was why this time too.
Metal taste, fatigue, alcohol tasted different, coffee smelled weird, vaginal walls changed in texture, then I got all my usual PMS symptoms but AF never came. I tested the day AF was due.
The "pooch" you're seeing is probably nothing but bloat. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and just recently developed a pooch :)
Honestly I didnt notice any symptoms, but what made me test was my bbt chart. On fertility friend, I compared my chart to those who were pregnant and saw the similarities. Then I bought a few tests and confirmed it!

I don't think I am... I've been off BC for three weeks. For the past week my flat stomach has the tiniest pouche... like after you eat a filling meal. It doesn't show, but feels firm, which is completely unlike my tummy. I've also had weird little pains shoot through my lower abdomen- almost like tiny electric zaps? I'm probably overreacting, but I'm taking a test next week.
But I am wondering how you bees found out? Did you have a 'feeling'? Miss a period? Feel nauseas? We're not TTC, but I'm curious :P
