Mr. Bee and I met through my personal blog! I'm going to be reposting the story shortly.
We're the ultimate blogging couple, and I'll be blogging til I can't blog anymore.
How did you and your FI meet?
I was the "fair princess" at the local county fair (we are rural, forgive us!) and my FI was in the demolition derby. He mustered up the courage to talk to me bc he "thought I was really cute" and asked for my number! The rest is history!
Mr. Touc and I met in college. Not super exciting... we lived on the same hall!
We're lawyers, and worked at the same firm. We actually met as summer associates, but probably talked only 2 or 3 times all summer. We started the same day the next fall, became friends, then it led to something more. I moved to a different firm about 2 months before the wedding, and I was actually kinda bummed that we wouldn't get to be another one of the married couples at the firm ... there's probably about 6 others.
FI and I met while I was on a blind date with another guy. WE went out as a group, and I wound up liking him better!
We met speed dating! We were each other's last pairing for the night, so we chatted for awhile after the event was over. We had both lived in Charleston, SC at the same time and didn't know it, so that was sort of our common ground at the beginning. We started out really slow for a few months, but after 3 years, we got married last month!
We met in college. We lived in the same dorm and he used to hangout and study with one of my closest friends, she set us up.
Mr.June & I meet in high school through friends. After seeing each other at a couple parties he got up the courage to get my number from a friend and call me :)
We met in college as well. I was out with friends playing sand volleyball and lost my shoes, he was walking back from the hot tub and stopped to help me find them :) He actually propsed right in front of those same sand volleyball courts 4 1/2 years later!
My fiance and I have a pretty neat story. My dad is a journalist and actually wrote a column about it that sums it up pretty well

We met through a mutual church friend in high school and ended up going to each others' prom. Holy smokes now that I put it that way, it's been almost a decade since then!
We met at my last job. He came there to do work periodically and we really hit it off. We knew each other for more than a year and a half before we started dating. I guess you could say we were "friends" first.
We met through mutual friends at a conference.
@ sarsk624: What an amazing story!
I was in college working on a friends documentary for one of our intensives. My fiance was actually the subject for the documentary and I was the cameraperson. Filming that first interview I knew their was something different about him. We quickly became friends, he asked me out a few months later, and BAM here we are almost 5 years later getting married!
Mr. FF was my partner on the ambulance's cousin. He was a Firefighter. We had talked on the phone and was always friends but one day we finally met in person and well that was it. The next day we talked about it and became serious one year later we have a ring!
My good friend and roommate wanted to try online dating, but wanted moral support from me, so she signed me up too. I was absolutely sure online dating wasn't for me, and I still can't believe I let her sign me up. But... the first guy that popped up really caught my eye, he had a bike in one picture and a dog in another, and his profile wasn't typical or scary. I told myself I would just talk to him to see if he knew of any good hidden mountain bike trails, but the rest is history. :) It took awhile for us to actually start dating, and I stayed online for two months, and not a single other guy caught my attention. Talk about lucky timing (or destiny if I believed in it).
We met at a not-so-blind date, set up by his cousin and my friend. It was not love at first sight but I'm sure it was very close, because we have been together ever since (no breaks =O, i know)and loving almost every minute (lol).
I was working a part-time Christmas job for extra cash in 2005, at a mall jewelry store. Mr. PG's parents came in to buy something, and we struck up a conversation. We are all from the same small town, and knew "of" each other. (Mr. PG and I actually went to middle school together, before he transferred).
His parents went home, and told him to look me up and ask me out! He tracked me down, and the rest is history. =)
We met at work. We have an interesting background in that we both went to 3rd-12th grade together in the same small town, and there's no excuse for us not knowing each other then. One of my best friends even lived right by his family! We were just both very introverted, so we didn't meet/talk/socialize. But, that connection got us to start talking when we startd working together 2 years ago, and we started dating several months later.
@Pinot Grigio - same here, we knew 'of' each other - funny how that works.
we met in grad school! Hung out with same group of friends for a year and half before we started dating.....
FH and a good college girlfriend of mine were working at the same firm in NYC back in 2004. I first met him on a visit to NY, when I dropped off my luggage at my friend's office and she introduced me to her work buddy in some back hallway. At the time, I was crying because I had just heard some bad news. So it was horribly awkward, but the awkwardness actually made him remember me. We were re-introduced two years later at a housewarming party hosted by that same college friend of mine. At that time, I had moved to NY for work. So the three of us (college friend, FH, me) would hang out pretty often. And that's how it started!
We met when we were both out to dinner with friends!
It was during a very busy time for both of us, so several weeks actually passed before we had our per se first date..which was out to dinner too! Cajun!
We met on eHarmony! It's still a little weird to say (or type) that!
My godfather/his best friend (everyone always assumes this guy is old, but he's only 26) introduced us with the intention of us being friends just so we could all hang out. But, the night we met it was like fireworks and we haven't been apart since!
We met through work. He's a computer geek, so after meeting at lunch through some co-workers, when I got back to my desk, he sent a msgbox with "It was nice meeting you" and I had click "OK" to close it...lol I was impressed and the rest is history!
The first day of grad school...though we didn't date for another 4 years. He's cute, though, b/c when I ask him when he knew he wanted to marry me he refers to something that would be about an hour into our new student orientation. I don't know if that's serious or not, but it makes me smile:)
We meet at Chili Fest in College Station, TX, actually Snook, if you want to get specific! It is a big concert with lots of Texas Country Music artists. Pat Green was singing "Three Days" and my roommate and I were sitting down enjoying the show and he came up to us and scolded us for sitting down during Pat Green! We've been together pretty much ever since!
We totally met online, on a dating site. I had been on my share of CREEPY first dates, and had pretty much forgotten about my profile. One day, I got an email from my now-fiance. We chatted online, but nothing serious. He was nice, but I was "over" the dating scene for awhile. It just so happened that I got sent home from work one day because I completely lost my voice (I was teaching at the time). He saw me online in the middle of the day, and asked me to lunch. I tried explaining that typing was about the only communication tool I had going for me at the moment, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. So, we met for lunch. Honestly? I wasn't expecting much. I mean, I couldn't talk. So I didn't even TRY to look cute. A hoodie, jeans, a pony tail, no makeup. I mean, what was the point, right? :-P
Well, I was wrong. I immediately left lunch and drove to my best friend's bakery and told her I had met the man I was going to marry. We had our second date later that night, when he messaged me and asked me to go out for coffee. And, we've been inseparable ever since.
I went up to Boston to visit my best friend (now my moh) for St. Patricks Day (anyone that doesn't know...that's huge up here...) and I was at a party on the parade route with her and I was having the most miserable time...2 girls stopped by to say hi to her I met them for the first time and begged them to take me with them so they did to a different party. The first person I bumped into was Bryan and we were together the whole rest of the day and ever since. :o)
I went back up to see him the next weekend and when I got back I told my parents I was going to marry him...they told me I was full of it....
We met at work. I was really hesitant to date someone in the office I worked at but obviously it worked out! Funny thing is that from that office there are 4 other couples that are either engaged or married who met at work.
We met in a bar. I was all sorts of tipsy and gave him my number. Later we found out of a few "friends" that we have in common (his ex actually hooked up with my ex....ew).
I met my husband on craigslist personals! I posted an ad looking for a blue-eyed lawyer, and I met one made-to-order! :)
A couple that I worked with invited me to come hang out one night after work. I was still in my uniform .. horrible khakis and a blue polo.. guess where I used to work
. It was pouring down rain, I got lost a couple times, but finally made it there. I knew that they had a couple of roommates and that one of them used to date a coworker of mine. So I was introduced to everyone and the next thing out of my mouth was "So who is so-n-so's ex?", yeah not smooth, it just kinda came out. I was just wondering. My guy shyly raised his hand. The good news is, my first impression, while not so great, seemed to be far far away because he came to visit me at work the next day and invite me over again. That night we were literally up until 8 am talking. The rest is history.
This is my version, as he thinks he recalls seeing me at work before.. I don't think so though!
we met in high school. he was on the basketball team and i was a stat girl. it's still kinda weird to me to be one of those "high school sweethearts" couples.
We met at my freshman orientation for college. I was auditioning for the marching band and they had current band members take us through the audition process. We were friends for the following 10 (!) years before we started dating. I guess we had both had feelings for one another on and off during that time, but never quite worked out the timing. Kind of a "When Harry Met Sally" situation. :)
