Soo.. while we are all waiting… for whatever you may be waiting for 😉 Lets here some stories about how you met your guys! And then how or when you knew he was the one!!
I met my guy when we were 16 years old, and we were both working at taco bell. It was his first day of work, and I had to train him at the drive through. :0 He was so cute… I had a boy friend at the time… and all I could think about was… wow… I need to dump that chump, and be available for this heavenly creature!! a week later he asked me to go to the fair… so I said no because I had a boyfriend, and he said well break up with him. So I did. and We went to the fair, and had our first date. It was wonderful.
I knew he was the one when we were going down one of those HUGE slides that you sit on potato sacks, our eyes met as we were about to push off and race each other down the slide…. and I just knew. He was it for me.

I met M online nearly two years ago and in person briefly a few months later and then again a bit more than a year ago. We talked six hours a day, everyday for nearly nine months I knew something was special about him, but I didn’t know what. I loved the fact that he could make me laugh no matter the situation. He still can. The first time I saw him in person we chatted like we’d known each other for YEARS. I truly can’t imagine my life with anyone else. Even when we aren’t getting along (which is rare) I never think wow I should be with someone else. He truly completes me and gives me peace. And the fact that he can cook isn’t too bad either lol!

We met at our summer job when I was home from college the summer before my junior year. We had a long-distance relationship (1.5 hours apart) for two years until we moved in together when I graduated.
How did I know this was it? One Sunday morning (when we had been together about a year), we were sitting on the couch, drinking coffee and reading the paper. I remember looking around and thinking to myself, “I’m happy. I’d like to keep on living like this.”
We got engaged four (!) years later, and we’ll be together for seven years by the time the wedding happens next summer.

My boyfriend R and I met in high school when he was 15 and I was 16. He was from a town about 45 minues away from my hometown and had come to a party at one of my friends house with a guy who I had known for awhile (Andy). I had never seen R before, but I thought he was cute and he LOVED to have fun, just like me! Apparently I was telling a story to one of my girlfriends and I let out a really loud obnoxious laugh (I am known to be quite loud!) R and Andy looked over at me and R said “Who the h*ll is that girl?!” Andy just laughed and said “oh, that is M, she is really cool!” So then Andy introduced us and we hit it off from there. If it weren’t for Andy, R would probably have never even given me a chance because I am so loud and he is pretty quiet!
We dated off and on in high school and a little during college. A little over 2 years ago we decided we were going to give it one last try, “All or Nothing.” It has been so great! I knew he was the one because I kept going back to him no matter what. Even when I was involved with other guys he was the one I always wanted to talk to and to be with…it was always him! Now I just cannot wait for him to propose!

I met Mr. B on a fairly cheesey online dating program…I saw he had looked at my profile but hadn’t messaged me…but I thought he was beyond cute, so I messaged him on a whim! We chatted for a few weeks, then went on a date…and many more dates ensued! After two months of dating he went out of province for nearly a month to teach summer camps…but the separation made it so clear how special he was to me, and I to him. The day he got home I knew I loved him and had to make him mine forever! haha sounds evil! What made our relationship so wonderful and right is that nothing has been forced, we’ve always been on the same page and simply fell in love. It was the right time, the right place, and the right people 🙂

- Wedding: June 2010 - Tannery Pond at the Darrow School
WHOA, hotchildinthecity, not only are we date twins but we both live in NYC and are getting married less than half an hour from each other….crazy! I met Fi in college and knew he was the one from our first kiss, if you can believe it….I tried to brush it off, but here we are, almost 5 years later and getting married!

We also met online through an awful little dating site, about a day before I was going to close my account. We talked online for a week before he finally asked me to meet him for coffee at a local place. We stayed until the place closed and have barely spent a day apart since! I knew he was the one for me, though, a few months into our relationship. He left my place after watching a scary movie and then came running back up the stairs to tell me he loved me (for the first time). While we were standing in the doorway talking/kissing my cat got out. I didn’t realize it until the next day. He immediately came over to comfort me, put up signs, bring me coffee, and go all over the neighborhood searching for her and asking people if they had seen her. It was FREEZING outside, and he is not a cat person. And he did that for me. And I knew he was a keeper 🙂

My FI and I met at college – he was dating my RA when I first met him my sophomore year. We had the same major, so I had him in a few classes but we didn’t talk too much. December of my senior year we went out on our first date – to a dollar theatre to see Stephen King’s “The Mist” no less. I knew right then I’d marry him. He says he knew two months in.

B and I met at a track meet my senior year when I was 18 and he was 17. He made me laugh the hardest I had in awhile. After 6 months, we began to date long distance. We were 2 1/2 hours away from each other but talked on the phone for hours every night. After 7 months of dating I knew I was the happiest I’d been in a long time. That same month, he gave me my promise ring, saying he knew it was a big promise, but he knew he could keep it since he had never broken a promise before. = ) Low and behold here we are a year later-living together and engaged. = D

We met at a night club, yes, a night club!
My roommate dragged me out (I’d never been “clubbing” before) and we went with a few guys from our floor, one of whom, I was semi-interested in. It was college night so almost everyone there were students. FH started to dance with me and I had to give my roommate the “I can’t see him, is he hot?” face. She nodded and we danced for the rest of the night. He even waited outside the bathroom for me b/c he didn’t want to lose me.
I found out later that he went to our school and that my roommate knew him and that we had some other friends in common.

We were on the same course at university, we had friends in common (who happened to be seeing each other at the time). There was an annual ball and I emailed him with the pictures, we started chatting, both rather depressed at the time so looked to each other for support. The friendship gradually shifted to the point we realised we felt differently, we went on a date and he asked me to be his girlfriend the following day. We saw all the cruddy bits first and still fell for each other!

We met at a bar…three years ago TONIGHT as a matter of fact! 🙂
A friend texted me, begging me to come to a local bar to listen to a local band. I had no other plans so I went. I walked in, the bar was packed! I walked around looking for my friend. As I walked up close to a group of people, I spotted a guy out of the corner of my eye. I didn’t look directly at him but I could tell he was looking at me… and I felt something “special”. I don’t know, maybe it was that feeling you get when you see the person you are going to marry for the first time. So anyway, I found my friend, sat next to her, looked up and found that the guy had followed me! I’m shy so I was waiting for him to come talk to me. We looked at each other all night, and I walked by him a couple times to get drinks. He never said a word, so when my friend left a few hours later, I left too. I sat in my car, my car in drive and my foot on the brake about to drive away and I looked up – the guy had followed me to my car!! He finally walked over to me and I rolled my window down a little so we could talk. After talking for a half hour I asked him if he wanted to drive around. We drove around and talked until the bar closed. As I was taking him back to his car, I asked if he wanted to get something to eat. So we went to an all-night diner and chatted until 3 am. When I dropped him off at his car I gave him my number and asked him to call me. He called me two days later – on my birthday – and we have been together ever since.
We are getting married October 24 of this year. I knew he was the one the night that we met!

@dani jo– YES she came home later that afternoon, THANK GOODNESS! We got her fixed recently and now she doesn’t want anything to do with the outdoors. Again, thank goodness! 🙂
