Generally a STD shouldn’t need explanation if you’ve included everything on the design. 🙂   I’ve never seen someone send a letter along.

We did STD postcards and are sending them in the next week or so!

I actually cosidered this right before sending them out!Originally I was going to stick them in our Christmas cards and knock out two birds with one stone! BUT then the thought of the post office around this time of year! UGH!

Well fate had its own plan, because I never got my Christmas cards out! So its the new year and I need a NEW idea! So I bought these cute little notecards/blank cards from Target and decided to make up a little jingle and stick our STD magnet in there!

I love how they turned out!

The card says

“Now that the countdown to 2011 is done,

we starts the count til our wedding bells shall be rung” [attachment=1580082,197476] [attachment=1580082,197477] [attachment=1580082,197478]

We sent ours out with a little info letter about where the wedding will be and some hotel/travel info (it will be Out of Town for most of our guests).  I’ve already had a bunch of people, including some in-towners, thank me for including the little note!

Our Save-The-Date Cards have a link to our wedding website where there’s information regarding hotels, motels and campgrounds for our out of town guests (aka the majority of our guests)

We just sent out photo STD’s, but we have a wedding website that has all the related information, and we included the address on the cards.
