I started spring cleaning today. I say started bc I kinda got distracted and starting rearranging furniture and such. So I guess I know now how I’m spending next Saturday too. DH’s family is coming in from out of state for spring break on Monday and the house needed a good cleaning anyway. I also made a homemade pizza for dinner for the first time and it turned out pretty great if I do say so myself! Right now I’m sitting here by myself since I didn’t want to run to Home Depot with hubby. So what’s everyone else been up to today?<br />

I haven’t really accomplished anything today. I’ve had an infection in my jaw for the past week [on antibiotics] from an impacted wisdom tooth, it’s been pretty painful. They gave me painkillers but I prefer not to take them [I’ve only been taking one before bed so I can sleep]. I’ve just kind of taken it easy, I haven’t been able to eat very much at all, so I’m pretty dizzy when I stand or walk. I was able to eat dinner so I’m happy about that!

I finally started my good bye 80’s yellowy oak cabinets project I’ve been wanting to do for months! Got the doors and hardware down, sanded everything, patch some holes, and primed the back of the doors. It’s not many, just 4 in the laundry room… but it’s a start. After this, it’s on to the bathrooms.

MrsBlessedOn: I got the kids on cleaning the livingroom, then I popped on over to Lowe’s to pick up paint and what-not so we can repaint the livingroom tomorrow or Monday. Next I hit Walmart and got a new grill, switching back to charcoal because I realized that gas grills just don’t cook the same! I was about to pick up something for dinner and go home when I remembered that my windshield wipers are falling apart, so off I went to Advanced Auto, changed my wipers and refilled my washer fluid right there in the parking lot cause I knew if I didn’t it would NEVER get done, lol. And finally, having a nice clean windshield inspired me to get to the car wash, so I did, but it was too late for an auto wash and I had to do it myself. I even dried it, cleaned out and vacuumed the inside and sprayed something nice smelling stuff on the seats. Stopped at Taco Bell (since it was 7:30 by the time I got all that done), got home, brought everything inside and we ate. I’m happy as a clam. I love it when I get things done!

jadlnc: I hate painting, but was noticing one of the bathrooms could use it when I was cleaning. DH even mentioned it after I was done cleaning it. Glad we had a productive day!!! BTW you reminded me that my car needs to be washed/vacuumed BAD!

MrsBlessedOn: Omg, slug fest! Dropped my FI off at the airport, came home, took a nap, dyed my hair, played with the pups, and thought “I should really start exercising” while sitting on the couch eating an ice cream sandwich!

Mmmm I love home made pizza!
I started off by running around mailing birthday presents and then I ended up at the humane society for awhile (I was supposed to go to work lol). I played with kittens for a couple of hours and then walked some dogs for an hour. After that I went home and worked :/ I’m now just sitting on my couch cheering on the Badgers!!

We had two florist appointments today [one we’re booking (yay!), one less than impressive], and had a dance lesson (so much fun!). Now FI is out with one of our friends for a guys night, and I’ve been haning around watching ER (becuase why not).

I’ve been in the car all day. We’re driving home from our Florida vacation. 12 hours in the car today and tomorrow!

Took my husband’s grandma out for breakfast at IHOP for her 85th birthday. It’s relatively new in this city, and we’ve been to a few in the States, but it’s funny how outdated the decor is, even though it just opened.
Then it was one of my girlfriend’s wedding shower (gatsby themed) so I was there for the afternoon.
Came home, ordered pizza for dinner and watched American Hustle with the husband. Now we’re on our respective computers, I’m on the Bee and he’s researching rental cars for our upcoming trip to Iceland. 🙂

Got threatened by a student and then my dog died. Spent the rest of the day feeling sick on the couch. Not the best day I’ve ever had…

MeiFrancis: I’m so sorry. I would be devastated to lose my dog.
