In a cute, excited way. A little ahead of schedule but it was going to happen eventually! : (11 votes)

I took a pregnancy test at 3am and it was positive. I was just hanging out in the bathroom for a little while processing everything. When I came back to bed, DH woke up and asked if I was okay and I just blurted out, “I’m pregnant…”. We were both in shock and cried a little and prayed. We got pregnant on our honeymoon after an oops and I had taken plan b, so it was all just unexpected and very fast. It took a while for us to get used to the idea. Now we have a beautiful 7 week old daughter 🙂

I went to the doctor for something else and mentioned I think might be pregnant took a test and yep.  I told my soon to be DH at the time when came into the house. I told him he needed to sit down and then just blurted it out.  He was of course in shock…

We were TTC… But it had been over a year and we were going to go to the fertility clinic that same day… DH works nights so I POAS at about 5:30am… Took a shower and cried until he got home at 7:15am… I said “I’ve been waiting ALLLLLL morning for you to get home”… He was like “Oh? Why’s that?”…. And I just blurted “Cuz I’m pregnant” and started crying again…. We’d never gotten a BFP but had our share of heartbreak so he was like “we’ll see what the doctor says”…

it was a crazy morning to say the least 🙂

We are also planning to TTC in a year or two, so ive thought about this often. I think I would still try something cute, more along the lines of OOPS! but yay! because we plan on being parents soon enough, if it happened tomorrow it would just be a happy accident. 🙂

@Equine_Breeder:  i actually brought this up to my husband a few weeks ago, he never really gave me a straight answer, mostly had a funny look on his face thinking i was actually pregnant now.  i pretty much told him i sould stick with the cute way, we want a baby now, timing money wise just isnt right, but we would be very happy if it happened 🙂

This was actually our 3rd when we were planning on stopping at 2. I just said one evening, “The last few days I’ve had sore boobs and nausea. It’s exactly like when I was pregnant before. I think I’d better POAS…”. And then gave the official news after the test a few minutes later. So we learned it officially together, both of us in a slight state of shock.

@Equine_Breeder:  We WERE trying, and had been for about 4 months, and I still just ran out of the bathroom and shoved the stick in his face, haha! I hadn’t planned on doing anything cute, anyway, though. I was just too hesitant to buy anything or plan anything before actually getting pregnant.

We weren’t married yet (but had been together for 5 years already, and were planning to get married soon) and I tried calling him a million times, texting him, he was ignoring me (he was at work, but frig, when you have 8 missed calls and 900 text messanges, something miiiiigh be up)

    So….

I emailed a picture of my pee stick to his work email.    He called back within one minute.

I told my hubby while he was hopped up on pain meds after surgery. :/ I showed him the test and he said, “so, what does that mean?” I said “we’re going to have a baby!” Then we were both like “huh”. Lol. We had been married for 3 months, together for 9.5 years, and were planning on waiting about six months beFore TTC. But it all worked out. Our seven month old is the light of my life. And his!

@Purple_Bride:  LOL at the pee stick in his work email!!  That is hysterical.

I haven’t been in this situation, but I think I would try to do something cute even if it happened before we planned.
