I whispered for him to “come in here” (into the bathroom), closed the door (no one else was home but us!) and then made him stare at it, analyze it, take pictures of it to see if it still showed up on computer, etc.  🙂

Congratulations!

With my first I called him because he was away.  I couldn’t wait to see him in person to tell him.  With this one, I pretty much just showed him all 39932058 pee sticks.

First time I sat him down to tell him as it was totally unplanned, he was shocked. 2nd time before I knew officially I hadn’t been feeling great. Took a nap on the couch (I never nap) he said “you’re acting like a pregnant girl” lol we both laughed it off. Later that night I ate a bowl of ice cream & threw it up… we both knew i was pregnant for sure. Next baby I’m going to have dd tell him lol.

our little bundle of joy was so not planned so i handed him a glass of whiskey and said “you’re gonna want to drink this.”

Just so you know we are both head over heels in love with our little man…planned or not.

Congrats!

Ours was a surprise, but he had made it clear to me beforehand that I better tell him in a cute way and not wave the stick in his face. I had to work fast and be creative since I tested in office potty… and I asked the Bees for help!

DH takes an MMA class, and he had it the day I found out. While I was at work, I went to CVS and bought a cute blank card of two raccoons holding hands around a tree trunk. Inside it, I wrote, “Hold on tight and get ready for the ride… Daddy! One of us getting drunk tonight!” I had that propped up against a gift bag with a jar of Prego and the stick. I also had two shots in front of the card. I had that all waiting for him when he went upstairs to shower after class. He got the message.

I came out of the bathroom with the pregger stick and said “we’re having a baby!” or something like that…it was our first month trying and we were so lucky to get the BFP:) Our little guy is 18 months old now- enjoy every minute (of the pregnancy as well!)- it goes by soooo fast. Congrats!!!!

@SaraP2012:  I understand. After I told him, he actually went out to buy more tests to make sure it was positive. I warned him that they may not show up positive since I’d been drinking and stuff… but they were surely positive. My doctor didn’t see me until around 6 weeks, and that was only because I was having issues. The first appointment would have been at 8 weeks, otherwise. My point is that some folks (like me) don’t event get the immediate doctor confirmation… so tell your husband if you want!!

He was in the shower when I tested and I was just like “holy crap. there’s a line. look, Carl! do you see the line???”  He did.

@SaraP2012:  I took a test the day before and got a very squinty squinter, nothing I was sure of at all.  So the following morning when I woke up at 5am to pee I took another test, which was obviously positive.  First thing I did was post it to the bee. DH does not know this and never will.  Then I waited for the longest 2 hours of my life until DH woke up and was doing his usual Monday morning moaning about how mornings suck and he didn’t want to go to work and I just told him “I’m pregnant.”  Then I showed him the two tests I took that morning and he cried.  That’s it.  🙂

@SaraP2012:  Is Clark Owen the first and middle name? Clark was one of the names that we were talking about and our last name is Owen. just being nosy. Haha.
