lol i love your story. I wish I had a romantic story but not yet… We are younger (21/24) so were not TTC… and I actually got into the car and he isntantly knew something was up and he was just like, (my FI) what’s wrong… and I blurted out there’s a really big chance I’m pregnant and he kind of giggled and I was like “no I’m serious this time(we had a scare before) I took a test that came out BBBBBFP and now were going to the Dr. not the bank. I have an apt to get my blood drawn” and I started crying because I knew he had been stressed lately about work… hes a roofer and with SNOW in APRIL work has been really hard to get back to work and I’e been having a lot of liver problems. and he just gave me a big hug and said “you don’t need to cry everything will be okay bun or no bun and i love you.” and now I’m 7 weeks today and were super excited! have our first ultrasound Tuesday.

Our immediate family knows because it’s changed some treatment plans for my liver.. and both of our best friends. because his best friend is a dad and expecting in july and my best friend just had a baby in january and since im due in december i told her to keep her clothes cause im rooting team blue and just have a feeling. lol. I wish i had a cute announcement but since it was kind of a shocker I didn’t really get that chance yet! next time maybe:]

Well looking back, I wish I had done something cute but…

My period was a week late and we weren’t TTC, so I asked him to pick up a pregnancy test on has way home. As soon as he got home I went into the bathroom and I swear that thing practically screamed “PREGNANT” before I even finished peeing on it. I looked at it and I just started yelling, like really yelling, “Oh my god. Oh my god. What the heck.” and poor Darling Husband comea running into the bathroom and says, “Where is it?” And I’m like “Where is what?” And he says “The spider, isn’t that why you’re screaming?” And I had to pull myself together and say “There is no spider, Darling Husband, I’m freaking pregnant.”

Not really so cute and thoughtful.

@LMD84:  Ahaha that is cute in its own way πŸ™‚

We were actively TTC and my Darling Husband had been pressuring me to test, even though I was only 8DPO. I just sucked it up and took the test, it looked negative, and so I was like “*huff* well thanks, now I know what a stark white test looks like”, then a couple minutes later I looked again and saw the FAINTEST line, so I let him know. I retested the next two mornings to see if the line would get darker and it did, but it still didn’t feel quite “real” until I bought the digital test and it said “Pregnant”. πŸ™‚ I walked downstairs and handed him the test and we just hugged and freaked out a little together. Not so sweet or anything when you are actively trying, but it was still amazing to me!

November was our 5th medicated round with Femara and we had TTC for some number of years never having had a bfp. It was the night before DHs birthday and my period was still a couple days off but I wanted to test just to be sure before we would go out for drinks the next day. I sat the test down after peeing on it and went about my business finishing up. Turned around and there was a definitive pink line. I literally was speechless because it was like a dream. I thought “is this real? Oh my god”..after composing myself I ran out of the bathroom and grabbed him in the kitchen and gave him the tightest hug and said “Happy Early Birthday!!!” and showed him the test.

He asked “Really?”

I nodded. And then we both sort of cried and kept hugging each other and he literally kissed me allover my face and hands and belly too many times to count. It was amazing. I will always remember the emotion on his face. The happiness we shared in that moment was probably the most we have ever experienced to this point in our lives.

All other birthday gifts the next day didn’t seem to compare at all though! Lol

@mamadingdong:  I’ve never been pregnant but I just had to tell you your story is so cute! PIZZZZA!!!

Oh, I always heard the story of my mom telling my dad she was pregnant with me. They had been living in my grandparents’ rental property for years, saving money to buy a house. So they finally got this cute 3 bedroom with a big backyard, which was awesome because they planned to have a family. When they had loaded the very last of their stuff for the final haul in my dad’s old truck, he got in the front and mom told him. πŸ™‚ It worked out pretty perfectly.

I had been BEGGING for a sibling for a long time. I was 8 and my mom was having trouble concieving, so they had started looking into adoption. Like they always say… once they stopped stressing about it, she got a BFP. So they really wanted to make telling me super special. They decided to take me to see a movie and then out to my favorite restaurant. And, hey! Lucky for them, there was a movie about a baby out that weekend! It was… Raising Arizona. LOL Yeah, not the great happy baby flick they were hoping for. To this day my dad HATES Nicolas Cage with a passion!

I wish there had been pizza!

I wrapped up a little cow infant hat (DH likes cows) and my positive FRER in a gift bag for him.

Wish I would have been creative.. We were staying in a hotel for 2 weeks and I felt off. Liquor wasn’t tasting good, I felt sick, tired.. So one morning while Fiance was on an over seas conference call I went in a took a digital I bought the evening before.. Sure as shit a big fat positive! We were not trying!! Oops.. I ran out of the bathrom and into the living room and ran up to him sitting on the couch.. As he is speaking mid sentence I showEd him the stick and started crying.. Scared tears.. He laughed silently and hugged me tight.. Then had to let to and finish his call..

Ya.. Not so interesting!

but.. 6 months ago I met the true love of my life!! Little Mason Liam! πŸ™‚

Darling Husband and I got the same book after we found out about our pregnancy. He enjoyed it but also said the target audience was really the lowest common denominator.

I told Darling Husband I hadn’t gotten my period for a day and a half (which is really weird for me) and that we might want to get a test. So, after dinner we went to Target and bought a three pack and went home and tried it out. We found out together.

Darling Husband found a kids sweatshirt he just had to have for our future child. So, he bought it and when we start trying and get pregnant I will be giving it to him. I think I’ll plan a scavenger hunt, because he loves them =)
