My fiance finished his vows last night and it really shocked me how quickly he was able to write them… I have been scouring the internet for ideas on wording. I LOVE my fiance and could write all day about his great traits but I don’t want to have a laundry list of things.
For those of you who have written your vows.. any tips? Resources? Tricks?
I always end up with a few ‘key’ words on a blank computer screen. I feel like peope will judge my vows and I want them to be great. :/<br />Wedding is next Saturday! Help!

My fiance and I are writing our own vows as well. We stumbled upon this wonderful little book at a used book store and bought it on a whim for two bucks…
The pictures are super dated and make me laugh out loud, but the actual text has been so, so helpful. Highly recommend it.
I wouldn’t worry too much about people judging you. This is really about you and your future husband, and everyone else just has the priviledge of viewing this important, personal moment between the two of you. Just be heartfelt and genuine and it will turn out alright. 🙂

We are doing a handfastening and that will take a bit. Afterwards, we decided to say to vows to one another. so mine go a little like this:
I vow to always let you do MY laundry, to watch one karate B movie a month with you, to say I love you at least one a day, to not complain about the stubble in the sink every other morning, to always be honest, even if its not my intent to ever hurt you, to let you sleep in once a month on a weekend when we have the little one, to try and be more patient, to let you enjoy your “you” time either alone or with your friends, to always make you feel that you have always belonged to us (I have three girls).
So sweet and funny. I still have to work on it some more and do some definite edits, but it’s coming along. I’m just thinking about all the reasons I love him and some of the things that annoy me. 🙂 Keeping it real. 🙂
